We've got a new promo spot for you to check out for David Lynch's Twin Peaks revival series for Showtime. The new spot offers us an updated look at the of the town of Twin Peaks. It has a fresh modern feel to it, at the same time, it's still the cozy little demented town that we remember from the series.
The promo continues the trend of untraditional marketing for the series. But what do you expect from a show like this? Network president David Nevin previously said:
"I don't know whether we’re going to have a traditional trailer. You might start seeing some filmed pieces coming out but there definitely won't be trailers that give away all the big plot points as is traditional in the movie business."
Twin Peaks returns on May 21st. For more photos and information on the series, click here.

Showtime has released two new promo spots for David Lynch's Twin Peaks revival, and as you'd expect, they are just as unconventional as the rest of the promos that have been released so far. They don't really plan on releasing any traditional trailers. Network president David Nevin previously said:
"I don't know whether we’re going to have a traditional trailer. You might start seeing some filmed pieces coming out but there definitely won't be trailers that give away all the big plot points as is traditional in the movie business."
The trailers below mostly feature footage from the original series. Each one comes with the tagline, "It Is Happening Again." The first one does feature footage from the upcoming series of Agent Dale Cooper. The last time we saw him, he was trapped in the Black Lodge at the end of the series, and we don't know if he ever got out.

For fans of Dexter craving to know what will happen next after the bombastic season 7 finale, this news will fill their hearts with happiness. Apparently, we can expect Dexter’s 8th (and possibly final) season starting in June. June 30th at 9 Pm, to be exact.
Showtime Entertainment President David Nevin was the one to announce the news. Turns out this isn’t a spur of the moment decision:
“They had a lot of advance warning [that this was happening] and they know where they’re going…No less production time; a little less vacation time.”
As far as whether this is it for Dexter? Nevins: “I’m not making any announcements today about when Dexter will end…I will clarify that beforeDexter goes on the air. There’s a clear end game in place but I can’t talk about it just yet … the decision is ultimately a creative decision… Dexter is to Showtime...
