E. Jack Neuman was born on February 27, 1921 in Ohio, USA as Ernest Neuman. He was a writer and producer, known for Police Story (1973), Incident on a Dark Street (1973) and Inside the Third Reich (1982). He was married to Marian Collier. He died on January 15, 1998 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Graduated from University of Missouri, then attended UCLA Law.
Began writing in 1945, while recovering in the Naval Hospital in San Diego from tuberculosis, which he contracted in the South Pacific while serving in the U.S. Marines.
While in the Marines, he sold his first screenplay, "The Silver Bandit," to King Bros. Productions.
Taught writing courses at a number of universities, including UCLA and USC.
Frequently collaborated with John Michael Hayes while writing for the Suspense and Sam Spade radio programs during the early 1950's.
