Rihanna says she isn't the same person since her "Pon de Replay" days.
Rapper Nelly is known for his bling, but robbers wanted his video games!
Italian-American actress Alyssa Milano is "upset" by MTV's "Jersey Shore."
Looks like the CSI franchise is falling in love with musicians lately. Nelly returned to CSI: NY a couple of weeks back, and band Train's set to appear in an episode a couple of weeks from now. Then there's P. Diddy on CSI: Miami last year. Surely CSI had their own share of musician love, and the same goes next year, as the crime drama booked country band Rascal Flatts for an upcoming episode. »
I had a few concerns following last week's episode. "Throwdown" blew any doubts I may have had out of the water. In my opinion (the only one that counts since I write the recaps), this was the strongest episode so far. It was well-written, well-plotted, well-acted, and had a great balance of music to story.
The episode starts out with Will and Sue screaming at each other in the auditorium. They scene is filmed in slow motion while they voiceover narration. Sue: "Look at me. I'm elegant even in battle." Will tells us that they've been at each other's throats since a few days before when they met with Figgins for a progress report on their co-chair arrangement. Will is trying to curry favor, but Sue is taking a different tack. She is trying to pit them against each other in an effort to create such a toxic environment that they want to quit. »
John Mayer made an observation that lead to an interesting exchange via the social networking site. Yesterday, the guitar giant tweeted, "Listening to the hits channel on Sirius. I will reserve criticism but say that every ninth year of a decade really brings the junk." He went on to point out that the charts in 1979, '89 and '99 are all relatively low-quality, and in the meantime, the "2" years ('82, '92 and 2002) all seem to produce greatness. Mayer uses the example of Warrant to throw 1989 under the bus, which is a brilliant strategy considering that their album Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich was not only gigantic but also represented the predominant trend of the era (that being hair metal). But is it a fair assessment of the decade? And how do those other years measure up?
Mayer is a little unfair to 1979, as the top singles from that year were a mix of disco tracks, »

MTV Movie Awards categories come and go. We once gave out a Golden Popcorn statue for Best Sandwich. But one category that's been around since the beginning and deserves to stay forever is Best Comedic Performance. After all the Best Kisses have been bestowed and the Best Fights have been waged, it's the folks who made us laugh the hardest that might be remembered longest.
From pregnant baby mamas to clueless sorority house mothers, from stoned-out pot dealers to high-strung yes men to hapless secret agents, the 2009 Movie Awards offer quite a collection of side-splitting, guffaw-inducing nominees. Since this is one of the only categories to have neither "Twilight" nor "Slumdog Millionaire" dominating its ranks, it's tempting to »
Katie Holmes had quite the captive audience Sunday night in D.C. In the audience was her No. 1 fan, husband Tom Cruise, as well as the woman she was portraying. The 20th annual PBS Memorial Day Concert, which paid tribute to the sacrifices of American men and women in uniform, was broadcast live from the West Lawn of the National Mall in front of the U.S. Capitol Building where it took place. Holmes, who wore a simple black dress, shared the stage with her Broadway costar Dianne Wiest. Together, they told the story of Staff Sargent Jose Pequeno, of Sugar Hill, »
