Adam West for Dark Knight Rises cameo?

5 July 2011 10:55 PM, PDT | Shadowlocked | See recent Shadowlocked news »

Rumor has it that a big name from Batman’s past has been spotted in Nottingham, England where The Dark Knight Rises is currently filming. While Nolan’s camp, the studio and West himself are all being tight lipped about it, Floss Magazine is reporting that West is, in fact, filming a cameo for the new film. As to what role the veteran actor will play is anyone’s guess, but it certainly has the internet abuzz.

West starred as the titular character in the popular series Batman, running from 1966-1968. He also reprised the role in several animated programs. He has also made cameos in that realm, first as actor Simon Trent, who played the TV superhero “The Grey Ghost” (who was an influence on a young Bruce Wayne) in Batman: The Animated Series. He then went on to voice Mayor Grange on The Batman, and even voicing Bruce »

Lauren goes back through the life and times of Superman, looking at the Man Of Steel's adventures in shorts and TV shows, and the actors who have donned the tights...

Superman is the last surviving son from the planet Krypton, who gets sent to Earth by his birth parents in order to protect him from getting caught up in the devastating blast on Krypton that doesn't just wipe out the entire population, but wipes the entire planet off the map.

Of course, we already know all of this, and the story has been re-told over and over again, sometimes in different ways throughout comics and on screen.

To celebrate the success of Smallville, which is coming to an end, and to also help keep anticipation for the up and coming Superman film, Man Of Steel, flying high, I'm going to look at the live-action Superman short films and shows, »

Amy Adams Cast As Lois Lane For New ‘Superman’ Movie

28 March 2011 6:00 AM, PDT | Comicmix.com | See recent Comicmix news »

Wasn't Lana Lang the redhead?

This time around, L.L. will be played by A.A.

Three-time Oscar nominee Amy Adams will play Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, according to the La Times’s Hero Complex blog.

Director Zack Snyder reportedly called Adams yesterday in Paris to congratulate her. Somewhat surprisingly, Snyder did not use any of the actresses from his new film Sucker Punch, a $82-million action flick that made $19-million in its opening this weekend.

Earlier this year, Henry Cavill was announced as the Man of Steel. Kevin Costner and Diane Lane were recently cast as Superman’s adoptive Earth parents, the Kents.

This isn’t Adams’s first time with an on-screen Clark Kent; in 2001, she appeared in the first season of Smallville… because somebody from Smallville should make it into the movie.

Lois Lane has previously been played on screen by such actresses as Phyllis Coates, »

Amy Adams has been cast as the fourth official cast member to join the Superman reboot. Adams will step into the iconic role of Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane that Noel Neill, Margot Kidder, Teri Hatcher and Kate Bosworth have all taken place at various times in the past.

The Fighter actress is just right for the role of key love interest opposite British actor Henry Cavill (despite he’s nearly a decade younger), who was beforehand cast as Superman/Clark Kent. Diane Lane and Kevin Costner will play his adoptive parents. Michael Shannon is said to be circling the role of the villain General Zod at this stage.

Director Zack Snyder (Sucker Punch) told Hero Complex the nature of her character in the movie:

There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot »

Amy Adams To Play Lois Lane in Zack Snyder’s ‘Superman’

27 March 2011 6:06 PM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

Note to stereotyped actors: one role that puts you in a new light can make a big difference on your career. Known for playing the sweet and innocent lead in such movies like Enchanted and Doubt, Adams’ Academy Nomination for her portrayal of the tough Charlene Fleming in The Fighter might have been the thing to get her the part of feisty journalist Lois Lane in the new Superman: Man of Steel reboot.

The three-time Oscar nominee will play the top investigative journalist, Lane, who is also the main love interest of Clark Kent Aka Kal-El/Superman played by British actor Henry Cavill (The Tudors). Kal-El’s earth parents, the Kents will be played by Diane Lane and Kevin Costner.

Superman will be directed by Zack Snyder whose latest film, Sucker Punch, was beaten out at the box office by Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules this weekend. »

Amy Adams cast as Lois Lane

27 March 2011 5:01 PM, PDT | Shadowlocked | See recent Shadowlocked news »

In what may be the soundest casting choice yet for Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot, actress Amy Adams has been chosen for the iconic role of reporter and love interest Lois Lane. She joins Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, and Kevin Costner as the latest to join the project. According to director Snyder, "There was a big, giant search for Lois. For us it was a big thing and obviously a really important role. We did a lot of auditioning but we had this meeting with Amy Adams and after that I just felt she was perfect for it."

But can Adams fill such big shoes? The character of Lois Lane goes back to the beginning of the comic book, where she was merely a co-worker who despised Clark for his timid nature and had a penchant for getting into bad situations that Superman had to rescue her from. Over the years, »
