Along with Simon Pegg, Alan Dale, Daphne Ashbrook, Guy Siner, Maurice Roëves, Olaf Pooley, Barrie Ingham, John Franklyn-Robbins and Deep Roy, he is one of only ten actors to have credited roles in both the "Star Trek" and "Doctor Who" franchises. He played Skagra in the unaired 1980 "Doctor Who" serial Doctor Who: Shada (1992) (V), Unferth in the "Star Trek: Voyager: Heroes and Demons (#1.11)" (1995) and a German general in "Star Trek: Enterprise: Storm Front: Part 1 (#4.1)" (2004) and "Star Trek: Enterprise: Storm Front: Part 2 (#4.2)" (2004).
