After winning a beauty contest in her home state of Washington, she was invited to take a screen test in Hollywood, playing a number of decorative roles in late 40s and 50s films.
Has two sons, Lee Jr. and Robert, from her marriage to Dr. Lee Siegel, the 20th Century Fox's staff physician known as the "doctor to the stars." She has four grandchildren.
