Trivia (1)

Brunette Swiss leading lady of the 1950's, often in tragic or fragile roles. She was trained at the Zurich Schauspielhaus and first appeared on stage with the Deutsches Theater in Goettingen. On the strength of her starring role in Afraid to Love (1954), she went to Hollywood to replace Maria Schell opposite Robert Taylor in The Power and the Prize (1956). This did not lead to stardom, however. After several other minor film roles, she devoted herself increasingly to theatrical work from 1960.
