‘One Tree Hill’ Season 9 Episode 13 (Series Finale): A Truly Magnificent End, with Great Dialogue & Throwbacks

5 April 2012 1:38 PM, PDT | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

Millions of fans said goodbye to One Tree Hill this week as the two hour series finale made it to our television screens. The finale began with a special one hour retrospective with creator, Mark Schwahn and the cast. Not often does a creator of a hit show and the cast come together to talk about what makes their show and the experience of making it so special, with their connection to the fans at the forefront. As Bethany Joy Lenz wrote on her blog, “In a strange way, an indirect way… I supposed we raised each other.”

“It’s about falling in love, it’s about making someone proud of you, it’s about being proud of yourself. It’s about that quiet voice that tells you, you could do better.” – Mark Schwahn

Schwahn said it best when he said, “What’s real about it are the emotions behind it and the people. »

After nearly a decade of drama, 'One Tree Hill' says goodbye in two-hour series finale

4 April 2012 1:55 PM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

One Tree Hill wraps up nine emotional seasons Wednesday night with a two-hour series finale on the CW. I’ll admit that it really will be hard to say goodbye.

I was a high school freshman when One Tree Hill debuted on the then-wb network in September 2003. Like brainy Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and baby-faced Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), I was navigating my way through teen angst. I tuned in because I had a Dawson’s Creek-size hole in my schedule and I would do just about anything not to do my English homework.

Hats Off ... No Seriously

19 March 2012 7:50 AM, PDT | TheInsider.com | See recent The Insider news »

Hollywood pet peeve number one -- hot guys killing their attractiveness with one of the ugliest man accessories of all time -- the gray beanie.

The usually flawless Kellan Lutz inexplicably fugged up his look at the recent launch of his Dylan George and Abbot + Main Spring '12 Collections at Bloomingdale's in New York, where he covered up a perfectly good head of hair with the cringe-worthy hipster accessory.

You're not Chad Michael Murray buddy ... and that's a good thing!

Stop Trying to Make This Hat Work Parker

But Kellan is nowhere near as bad as repeat offender Zac Efron, who showed up at the premiere of Watchmen looking like a wannabe Jared Leto ... a dude absolutely nobody should be emulating.

Jared Leto's Most Ridiculous Outfits

And yes, I can understand that not all Hollywood guys are that into grooming but let's get real -- it's not like these two are casually wearing a beanie to cover »

14 March 2012 1:11 PM, PDT | Boomtron | See recent Boomtron news »

His time on One Tree Hill may be over, but Chad Michael Murray is far from being done with television work and has already set up his next project: ABC’s Scruples. Those with a sharp memory will remember this pilot has a very important name attached to it, one that every household should know by now: Natalie Portman. The Oscar winning actress is one of the pilot’s executive producers, giving Murray a run for his money as the main draw for audiences.

TVLine reported Murray was tapped to play Spider, a fashion photographer who has turned his attention toward creative directing. The project is based on the Judith Krantz novel and isn’t the first adaptation of the source material. In 1980 there was a miniseries that was quite popular. At one point, in 1981, a pilot for a weekly series was produced, but it was largely unsuccessful. In that 1980 series, »

The leading men (in contention) for fall 2012 are....

13 March 2012 12:15 PM, PDT | EW - Inside TV | See recent EW.com - Inside TV news »

This season, we had Eddie Cibrian (The Playboy Club), Jason O’Mara (Terra Nova), Hank Azaria (Free Agents), Kevin Dillon (How to Be a Gentleman), Mather Zickel (Man Up!), and Amaury Nolasco (Work It).

It didn’t work out too well for those guys, did it?

Fortunately, the failures of yesterday don’t seem to be quashing hopes for the (potential) successes of tomorrow. An excellent crop of new (and familiar) male stars are hoping to follow in the footsteps of Jim Caviezel (who’s truly nailed it on Person of Interest this season) and Henry Czerny (the very underappreciated »
