The thriller/horror movie Airborne, starring Star WarsMark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray and Julian Glover flies to VOD September 14th and on DVD and Digital Download October 16th.

The key art is pretty wicked looking and from what little I can tell from the trailer, Mark Hamill brings a side of creepiness to his role. Check out the trailer below the official details from Image Entertainment.

From The Press Release:

Turbulence is the least of their worries. On October 16th, Image Entertainment presents Airborne, a “Twilight Zone”-infused horror/thriller starring Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill (Star Wars Trilogy,). Airborne features a strong genre cast including Alan Ford (Snatch), Gemma Atkinson (“Hollyoaks”), and Julian Glover (HBO’s “Game of Thrones”, Troy), who reunites with his fellow Star Wars legend after 30 years!

Stars: Cuba Gooding Jr., Dolph Lundgren, Billy Murray, Claudia Bassols, Louis Mandylor | Written by Benjamin Shahrabani, Derek Kolstad | Directed by William Kaufman

The latest in a long line of Cuba Gooding Jr. starring hit-man movies that seem to be inspired by Collateral, (although less so than the previous flick we reviewed, Hit List), this time round Cuba takes on the one man mountain that is Dolph Lundgren. Set in Prague, One in the Chamber sees skilled assassin Ray Carver (Gooding Jr.) hired by gang leader, Bobby Suverov (Leo Gregory), to eliminate his competitiors, the Ivanov brothers. However when Demyan Ivanov (Mandylor) escapes Suverov hires an eccentric Soviet killing machine known as ‘The Wolf’ (Lundgren), to take out the surviving Demyan, as well as Carver. However in a bizarre turn of events, Ivanov hires his brothers killer, Carver, to eliminate the Suverov brothers. With twists and double-crosses a plenty, »

Airborne Veers Off-Course: A Movie Review

3 August 2012 1:36 PM, PDT | 28 Days Later Analysis | See recent 28 Days Later Analysis news »

*here be some spoilers. Director: Dominic Burns. Writer: Paul Chronnell. Cast: Mark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray, Sebastian Street, Simon Phillips, Julian Glover, Alan Ford, Gemma Atkinson, Rita Ramnani, and Andrew Shim. Chelsea Films is releasing Airborne across the United Kingdom on DVD July 30th. This is a film that puts a dozen passengers on a doomed flight across the Atlantic. One of their passengers is an ancient Chinese spirit that likes to possess the living. The other flight crew and trapped passengers are understandably shook up when the ghost of Chang starts offing characters via gory suicides. The action is almost laughable as the plot of a cursed vase threatens to ground this aircraft for good. And, something strange begins to happen as you watch this film. If you are a United Kingdom film fan, then you might notice that director Dominic Burns has recruited a few familiar faces. »

Airborne, 2012.

Directed by Dominic Burns.

Starring Mark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray, Sebastian Street, Simon Phillips, Alan Ford, Julian Glover, Gemma Atkinson and Rita Ramnani.

Synopsis:

Hell literally breaks loose on board a Trans-Atlantic flight when an ancient evil is unleashed at 30,000 feet.

Direct-to-dvd director Dominic Burns is back with another low budget direct-to-dvd affair in the form of airplane based thriller-come-supernatural-movie Airborne.

I’ve always been a fan of closed environment thrillers. Films like The Hole and 2010’s Buried have always impressed me from a) a story telling standpoint and b) in terms of filmmaking. It takes a great level of skill to make a feature length movie set predominantly in one location that can grasp an audience to make sure they don’t fall asleep before the credits roll. To Airborne’s credit, it does come very close but it falls under the weight of trying to cram »

Airborne

Stars: Mark Hamill, Craig Conway, Billy Murray, Sebastian Street, Simon Phillips, Julian Glover, Gemma Atkinson, Alan Ford | Written by Paul Chronnell | Directed by Dominic Burns

A product of British indie outfit Black and Blue Films, Airborne stars a veritable who’s who of British film and television (most of whom have appeared in previous Black and Blue Films productions) along with the movies main draw – former Star Wars actor, Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill.

The film follows Atlantic Sky Airways Flight 686, the last flight out of East Midlands Airport thanks to a severe storm. Shortly after take-off, several passengers become concerned when one of their number inexplicably goes missing. Their anxieties are further increased when it becomes apparent that the flight has veered off course and it is revealed that the plane is carrying an interesting item of cargo: a rare and extremely valuable ancient Chinese vase. A conversation with Paul Tanter, writer-director of The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan

Paul Tanter, the writer/producer/director behind the Jack Says trilogy and new film The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan, talks to Flickering Myth’s Luke Graham about breaking into the industry, making movies and violence in films...

Luke Graham: Hi Paul, thanks for agreeing to answer a few questions. I saw The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan a few days ago and I really enjoyed it, it was great! Can I first ask, how did you break into making films and what is your background?

Paul Tanter: Many years ago, Rita Ramnani was attached to a film in pre-production, and the script needed some re-working from someone new. We were friends from university and she recommended me as someone who could give the job a fair go – as I’d always been involved in writing stuff at uni. She put me in contact with the producer, »

The Rise and Fall of a White Collar Hooligan, 2012.

Directed by Paul Tanter.

Starring Nick Nevern, Simon Phillips, Rita Ramnani, Peter Barrett, Ricci Harnett, Rebecca Ferdinando, Roland Manookian and Billy Murry.

Synopsis:

A casual football hooligan is sucked into the murky world of credit card fraud and soon becomes seduced by the money and women that come with this dangerous new lifestyle.

On an international level, for better or for worse, British cinema is probably best known for period pieces like Pride and Prejudice or romantic comedies such as Bridget Jones or anything by Richard Curtis.

Within Britain, however, I have always felt that we have a fascination with gritty, urban drama, especially ones that examine crime, poverty and violence. It’s evident from the soaps we make, such as EastEnders, to the shows we import from Europe (specifically Dutch creations like Wallander) and from the Us (The Wire is »
