Robert Mulligan was born on August 23, 1925 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA as Robert Patrick Mulligan. He was a director and producer, known for To Kill a Mockingbird (1962), The Man in the Moon (1991) and Summer of '42 (1971). He was married to Sandy Mulligan and Jane Lee Sutherland. He died on December 20, 2008 in Lyme, Connecticut, USA.

Older brother of actor Richard Mulligan.
Former brother-in-law of actress Joan Hackett, Lenore Stevens and Rachel Ryan.
