Inhumans Trailer Tease Continues To Peel Back The Many Layers Of Marvel’s Royal Family

23 May 2017 2:35 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

If Marvel had any intention of retaining some semblance of intrigue and mystery before debuting the first-look trailer for Inhumans, they’ve failed spectacularly.

That’s not to say that the finger of blame should be pointed solely in the studio’s direction, far from it – untimely leaks and the superhero genre practically go hand in hand at this point. Nevertheless, it’s fair to say that the avalanche of screenshots and leaked scenes – coupled with those detailed descriptions of entire sequences – have threatened to steal some (all?) of the thunder away from Marvel and ABC’s starry new series before it’s even arrived.

But the first trailer is coming – very soon, in fact, now that Marvel’s Facebook channel has churned out a brief trailer tease in which Iwan Rheon’s Maximus the Mad continues to plot his brother’s (Anson Mount) downfall. That sibling rivalry looks set »

Get Your First Look At Lockjaw In Leaked Scene From Marvel’s Inhumans

22 May 2017 11:09 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The reception of the character designs on Marvel’s latest TV series, Inhumans, has been decidedly mixed so far, after the costumes for Black Bolt and Medusa either took liberties with the comics or just looked plain cheap. Still, there is one character who’s been kept under lock and key that fans are getting excited to see. That’s right, we’re talking about Lockjaw.

In case you don’t know, Lockjaw is the loyal pet of the Inhuman royal family. Resembling a giant bulldog, he has the power to teleport himself and his masters from Earth to their home city of Attilan, and vice versa. Because the character can be a difficult one to realize on a TV budget, many have been eager to see how he’d turn out. Well, wonder no more, as our first look at Lockjaw has now leaked online.

Excitement for Marvel’s Inhumans series is beginning to reach a fever-pitch – and for good reason.

Over the past few days, Internet sleuths have uncovered a handful of screengrabs, not to mention a detailed trailer description, indicating that Marvel is now on the verge of showcasing the show’s first full trailer to the masses. Still nothing to report on that front just yet, but Spoiler TV (via Cbm) has uncovered the next best thing: a raft of screenshots that essentially offers a play-by-play breakdown of that promo in question.

Embedded above, you’ll be able to take a closer look at Marvel’s Royal Family as they’ll appear in the ABC series, and though a vocal minority has raised concern over the character’s costumes and general set design, Disney’s Mark »

Leaked Trailer Description For Marvel’s Inhumans Surfaces Online

18 May 2017 8:41 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Rubbing shoulders with Star Trek: Discovery and Amazon’s oddball superhero comedy The Tick, Marvel’s Inhumans series is undoubtedly one of the most buzzworthy properties among 2017’s freshman class.

Having found a home at ABC, where it joins fellow Marvel series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. – incidentally, the long-running superhero drama recently got renewed for a fifth season, just don’t expect it to arrive until early next year – Inhumans is expected to conjure up its first full-length trailer sooner rather than later. So far, we’ve clocked eyes on a rather foreboding teaser for ABC’s ensemble drama, while EW recently gathered Marvel’s Royal Family together for a shoot.

But ComicBook.com has now gone one step further to post a detailed description of the show’s inaugural trailer. The full, exhaustive breakdown can be found on the site, so if you’re not opposed to being spoiled ahead of time, »

ABC has released its schedule for the upcoming TV season, revealing that Marvel’s Inhumans is set to air on Friday nights, beginning September 22nd.

However, if you were hoping for a Marvel double-bill with the recently renewed Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., you may be disappointed to hear that Coulson and company are being held back for midseason, and season five won’t premiere until 2018 (presumably taking Inhumans‘ spot once the eight episode run finishes up).

Here’s ABC’s new prime time schedule:

Monday:

8:00 p.m. “Dancing with the Stars

10:00 p.m. “The Good Doctor

Tuesday:

Inhumans Lands Friday Night Slot On ABC’s Fall Lineup; Extended Synopsis Released

16 May 2017 9:58 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Ready to get acquainted with Marvel’s Inhumans?

Black Bolt and the remainder of Attilan’s wartorn Royal Family are expected to stage their two-part debut via select IMAX theaters on September 1st, before all eight episodes make the jump over to ABC in the fall. And though we’re still awaiting confirmation on a specific premiere date, Marvel has announced that Inhumans will air on Friday nights at 9:00 pm Et, meaning Scott Buck’s (Iron Fist) ensemble series will slot in between 20/20 and ABC’s long-running fairytale series, Once Upon a Time. Prior to today’s switcheroo, the latter originally occupied a Sunday timeslot.

As for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it seems as though the network is ready to hold fire on the show’s fifth season to carve out the necessary breathing space in which Inhumans will hopefully flourish. The official, extended synopsis is as follows, »

Marvel’s Inhumans showrunner says first two episodes feel like a movie

8 May 2017 3:54 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

While it was a disappointment to see Marvel’s Inhumans unceremoniously removed from the Marvel movie lineup, that doesn’t mean that the upcoming ABC TV show won’t be getting a bit of the cinematic treatment.

The first two episodes of the show have been filmed entirely on IMAX cameras, and will debut in IMAX theaters ahead of the show’s premiere on ABC, and showrunner Scott Buck has been about chatting to this to Entertainment Weekly, and whether the first two episodes feel like a movie.

“Yes, I would say the first two episodes do, because it gave us a lot more freedom and pushed and encouraged us to think a little bit bigger than we would if it was just a normal network show. We just wanted to think bigger in terms of scope, and what we were seeing, and how we bring these characters to the audience. »

Anson Mount on his role as Black Bolt in Marvel’s Inhumans

7 May 2017 4:40 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

ABC and IMAX kicked off the promotion for the upcoming Marvel series Inhumans this week with the release of a first-look cast image, poster and teaser, and now during a chat with EW actor Anson Mount has been speaking about his role as Black Bolt, and how the mute ruler of Attilan will communicate in the show.

“I actually have to do more preparation when it comes to scenes in which I sign, and I can’t use American Sign Language,” says Mount. “Because he’s not from Earth, he wouldn’t know American Sign Language, so I’m making my own sign system. [Black Bolt] is a leader who is actually forced to understand not just the strength of his voice, but the potential catastrophe of his voice. He literally has to meditate an hour every night before going to bed so he doesn’t talk in his sleep.”

The Twitter reaction to that Inhumans image was Not good

5 May 2017 1:58 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Yesterday saw our first official look at ABC’s adaptation of Marvel’s Inhumans, and the reaction was not great.

What once started out as the climax to Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now a TV production with a fraction of the budget. The budget appears to be the biggest focus of complaints, with many saying the costumes for Inhumans looks like fancy dress knock-offs.

Worse still, fans who still watch Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were even more upset when news broke that the show might be cancelled, with Inhumans essentially replacing it.

Entertainment Weekly were the first to put the image out, and going by the reaction from Twitter, they should have kept it to themselves.

Marvel will carry out something quite unique in its airing of the first two episodes, which were shot in IMAX, by showing them on the big screen in the autumn. Giving the two episodes the movie experience could well frustrate those fans that have been waiting patiently for the film, only for Marvel to postpone it indefinitely after it was initially scheduled to be released in 2019.

‘Marvel’s Inhumans’ Teaser: First Look Sets Up Main Conflict of ABC Series (Video)

The first teaser for “Marvel’s Inhumans” hit the web on Friday and while it doesn’t reveal any new footage, we do learn a bit of what we’re going to experience. There’s nothing too visual about the teaser — what we do get are a few lines of dialogue that set up the main conflict of the series. It comes down to political differences between the king of the Inhumans Black Bolt (Anson Mount) and his brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon). “Are we supposed to follow our king and remain as silent as he is?” asks Maximus. Inhumans Showrunner Outlines The Challenges Of Bringing Black Bolt To Life

4 May 2017 11:17 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Earlier today, we finally got our first official look at the main cast members of Marvel’s Inhumans TV series in full costume as The Royal Family. Each of these unique characters should prove to be a challenge to play for various different reasons, but Anson Mount is definitely going to have the toughest job portraying the all but completely silent Black Bolt, who’s capable of levelling an entire city block by uttering a single word in the comics.

During an interview with EW, showrunner Scott Buck acknowledged the difficulties faced by both Mount and the writers in accurately depicting the team’s stoic leader, but mentioned that the Hell on Wheels actor is more than capable of rising to the challenge:

It’s a little bit difficult to write him, because Black Bolt does not speak, but yet he is our hero and he is the center of the show, »
