Glee! Homeland! Breaking Bad! General Hospital! The TV Addict Week in Rewind

Best Solution: As bored with Homeland’s third season as we mere mortals, actress Olivia Wilde offered up this advice on Twitter: “Homeland writers, how about we just have Carrie take her meds, take over the CIA, annihilate Dana, and solve puzzles all day?”

Silliest Faux Deadline: No, no, not that whole debt ceiling thing. We’re talking about the question of whether or not Glee will end… not at the end of this season, but the end of next season.

Why God Invented The Internets: Folks wanting to “attend” the funeral of Breaking Bad’s Walter White being held in Albuquerque will be able to thanks to it being live-streamed on Youtube.

Cruelest Trick: General Hospital’s evil Dr. Obrecht tricked Robin by donning an Anna mask… and then laughed when the heroine fell for her charade. How can you not love to hate her?

Coronation Street

As much as I liked their scenes, Sean’s horrible presence notwithstanding, it’s pretty clear that Aiden and Marcus’ relationship is doomed. Supposedly, they’re dating, but we haven’t seen any of their relationship develop on screen. I guess the real storyline is what’s going to happen between Marcus and Maria, but I would have liked to see some attention given to Aiden and Marcus fledging coupling.

I’m a big fan of Marcus and I think Aiden is a likeable and engaging character and it would be nice if he was developed and fleshed out. I love how Aiden is just an average bloke who defies the gay stereotypes that someone like Jason wants to put upon him. The scenes with Aiden, Jason, Marcus and Maria have been just adorable.

Not so adorable is Sean, who continues to be

'The Bold and the Beautiful' star Ronn Moss speaks out on departure -- Exclusive
Nearly two weeks ago, Ronn Moss shocked the soap world when EW exclusively reported that the star would leave The Bold and the Beautiful in September. Susan Flannery to Exit The Bold and the Beautiful

  • TVfanatic
We don't often cover soap opera news at TV Fanatic. Unless it's really big soap opera news - and the following qualifies:

Susan Flannery, who has helped anchor The Bold and the Beautiful since its 1987 premiere, is leaving the daytime drama.

A source tells Soaps in Depth that the veteran actress has given producers notice and signed a short-term contract in order to give writers a chance to properly write her character of Stephanie Forrester out.

Flannery's announcement arrives a week after another original star, Ronn Moss, also confirmed his impending departure.

These exits leave John McCook and Katherine Kelly Lang as the only remaining original cast members on The Bold and the Beautiful and while McCook's future status is uncertain, Lang has inked a new two-year deal with the program.

Reports of Flannery's planned exit comes just days after Ronn Moss decided to exit the series. Moss, who plays Ridge, Stephanie's son on the series, will depart September 14. Moss was also one of the original cast members.

"Bold & the Beautiful" head writer Bradley Bell told TV Guide Magazine that Moss' exit was a huge blow and "it came out of the blue."

"I only found out last Thursday [Aug. 9] about Ronn's decision not to renew,

Big Brother! The Bold & The Beautiful! Breaking Bad! Boss! The TV Addict Week in Rewind

Best Line: Forget the Zingbot! Big Brother’s Britney scored the best dis when she said of mop-topped Frank, “He wears his hair like that in public. Clearly, he has no shame.”

Weirdest Coincidence: Life proved to be, if not stranger than, certainly on par with fiction when a man named Walter White — just like the Breaking Bad character — was wanted on meth charges.

Least Sucky Change: Only days after her True Blood alter ego was spiked, Tina Majorino was revealed to be the newest Grey’S Anatomy cast member.

Most Shocking Development, Daytime Division: Fans of The Bold & The Beautiful were stunned to learn that original cast member Ronn Moss would be leaving the soap after 25 years. Even more shocking? That the show was looking to recast his iconic role of Ridge Forrester!

Ronn Moss leaves 'The Bold and the Beautiful' and everyone's surprised

After 25 years on "The Bold and the Beautiful," series original Ronn Moss is leaving. The end of Moss' character, Ridge Forrester, brings questions for everyone: fans, the "Bold and the Beautiful" producers and CBS.

News of Moss' departure came out in a report from EW.com on Saturday (Aug. 11). Following failed contract negotiations, Moss ended his "Bold and the Beautiful" run on Tuesday. CBS has scheduled Ridge's final episode to air on Friday, Sept. 14.

Is this the end of Ridge Forrester after so long? The answer is a definite maybe. TVGuide.com got confirmation from "The Bold and the Beautiful" executive producer Bradley Bell that Ridge would not die on the show. Instead, Ridge will disappear from "The Bold and the Beautiful" after his honeymoon with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang).

Bell does not, however, rule out a possible return for the character. "There will be a period of time without Ridge,

'Bold and Beautiful' won't recast Ridge ... for now
Good news (we guess?) for Ronn Moss fans: Don’t go looking for a brand new Ridge to take over for the old one on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful.

Once Moss’ last episode airs on Sept. 14, B&B has no plans to fill the void, the sudser’s head writer told TV Guide.

“Ridge will not be dead or presumed dead,” said Bradley Bell. “He will just not be in the picture. I don’t want to do a presumed death because I don’t want the story that follows to be all about Ridge. This will be a Brooke story.

TVLine Items: B&B's Ridge Recast Plan, Hilary Duff Plots TV Return, Lost Vet Gets Hot and More
Will The Bold and the Beautiful‘s Ridge Forrester be — gasp! — recast?

According to the CBS soap’s showrunner Bradley Bell, it’s a very real possibility.

Unlike a vast majority of shocking daytime TV exits, “Ridge will not be dead or presumed dead” following his Sept. 14 swan song, Bell tells TV Guide Magazine. Rather, “He will just not be in the picture” following his and Brooke’s honeymoon, which means that “at some point it will be necessary for Ridge to return to the show” — very likely in the form of a different actor.

The Bold and the Beautiful: Ronn Moss Exits After 25 Years

  • Boomtron
For some, it will be hard to imagine what The Bold and the Beautiful would be like without Ronn Moss. He is one of four of the original cast of the daytime soap that are still working on the show, having all been playing their characters for 25 years. Thankfully, nobody will have to imagine B&B without Moss because he’s straight up leaving. After playing Ridge Forrester since 1987, Moss is officially hanging up the towel and making his big exit. Just what kind of effect this will have on B&B is not known at this time – will Forrester disappear with some type of a reason or will he be killed off in a glorious fashion?

Moss’ retirement from B&B was announced by EW.com, claiming he left the job he’s had for a quarter of a century due to salary issues. I’m sorry, but I find that kind of petty.

Morning Meme: 50 Cent Would Do "Glee," Matthew Mitcham Not Retiring, and Conan O'Brien Takes a Beating In Slow-Mo

50 Cent says he's open to appearing on Glee, as long as he doesn’t play a rapper. First, I'm against this considering some of the homophobic crap that has come out of his mouth in the past, but if it does happen, how about Will starts rapping, he walks on the set, pulls the plug, and just says "No."

This is an interesting question. Say you're a gay dad, watching his sons practice youth football, and the coach tries to motivate the team by yelling "What are you, a bunch of pansies?" What do you do? And if you do take action, are you overreacting?

An Arizona judge is currently resisting granting Thomas Beatie's divorce because he doesn't think that Beatie is really a man, and therefore his marriage wasn't legal to start with. Beatie counters he has legally changed his gender, and has the U.S. passport to prove it.
