Lars Mortensen

Lars Mortensen is a Danish documentary director. He was educated as a
journalist and was then employed by Danmarks Radio's children's and
youth department in 1978. He was among those responsible for the
popular "P4" youth radio programming and produced chat programme
"Tværs". He debuted as a self-taught director in 1980 with youth flick
"Bananasplit & Graffiti" and also made television documentaries for DR.
Since late 1980s he worked for TV 2 Lorry, a Copenhagen regional
station, but then turned independent, producing numerous documentaries
usually broadcasted by DR. His portrayal of artist Bjørn Nørgaard's
work on royal gobelins and his critical documentary about the world
climate are among his most well-known work.
