Feature Cameron K McEwan 22 May 2013 - 07:00
Cameron gives us the run-down on 11 other versions of the Doctor, featuring robots, Dream Lords, and more...
Warning: contains a major spoiler for The Name of the Doctor.
With the curtain-closing, hair-raising Doctor Who finale in the past and now but a fond memory, The Name of the Doctor threw up a new Doctor Who for us all to enjoy (and rampantly speculate about for the next six months). But this is not the first time fans have had to unexpectedly encounter a new, or "other" Doctor. Here's my favourite eleven below (apologies to Richard Hurndall and all the Morbius Doctors, you just missed out).
11. The Fatal Death Doctor
Okay, this is a slight cheat but if you want to know why he's on the list, I'll explain later. Steven Moffat penned a delightful Doctor Who mini-story for Comic Relief back in 1999; a »

"The Walking Dead" won't be back for quite some time, but production on season four is underway, and Rick Grimes looks like he's in trouble once again. AMC has released a First Look photo from the Atlanta set, featuring Andrew Lincoln as Grimes. There's no sign of The Governor (David Morrissey) or the others, as Rick appears to be taking a leisurely walk in the woods...but he's not alone. Could that be a White Walker behind him? Oh wait, wrong show. Take a look here: Also returning are stars Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chad L. Coleman, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson »

AMC has released the first image from the upcoming fourth season of its incredibly popular drama series The Walking Dead. Production began earlier this week in Atlanta on season four, and this image doesn’t tease much other than the fact that Andrew Lincoln’s Rick may or may not have a stalker. Little is known about the upcoming season, but the show is now under the creative supervision of new showrunner Scott Gimple after Glen Mazzara was “let go” in the middle of season three. After much buildup and promise, the third season finale was about as anticlimactic as you can get, so hopefully The Walking Dead is taken in a bit of a new direction this year. David Morrissey is confirmed to return as The Governor, and Chad Coleman (Tyreese), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), and Emily Kinney (Beth) have all been upped to series regular status. Hit the jump to check out the image. »

Production has now officially begun on Season 4 of The Walking Dead. Another summer in Hotlanta for our intrepid crew, minus a few more original characters. Will the war between the Governor and the prison escalate? Will the new prison-ers be a help or a hindrance? How will they explain Carl looking several months older?
We won’t know for quite some time, but AMC is tossing us a bone by releasing this great featurette of executive producer and special effects guru Greg Nicotero taking a new batch of zombie wannabes through their dragging, clawing paces.

You know what's funny about this? If someone actually set up a zombie class like this, in a Yoga or martial arts class type setting, but for zombiism, I bet people would actually sign up for it. Zombie classes could be the next big thing in health and fitness!
If you saw a Zombie studio pop up in your area would you join?

Rumors began circulating last week that "The Wire" alum Larry Gilliard Jr. was in talks to join the hit AMC series The Walking Dead . The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Gilliard has signed on for the series and will play the role of former Army medic turned alcoholic Bob Stookey. In the source material, Stookey was a resident of Woodbury and saved The Governor's life after being tortured by Michonne. With David Morrissey set to return as The Governor in the upcoming season, it remains to be seen if these two characters will interact, but it does seem likely. The Walking Dead will begin production on its fourth season this May and will return to air in October. (Photo Credit: WENN.com) »

Lawrence Gilliard Jr. is headed to The Walking Dead.
The Wire alum will be a series regular when this AMC smash returns in the fall, coming on board as an ex-army medic named Bob Stookie. Look for the character to be severely haunted by events that took place both before and after the apocalypse.
The Walking Dead Season 4 will premiere some time in October, with David Morrisey returning as The Governor and Robert Kirkman recently saying the mainstays will travel to many different places and locations.
Aside from his role as D'Angelo on The Wire, Gilliard also enjoyed an extended run last year on Army Wives. »
