Jackie Chiles, the flashy lawyer he played on "Seinfeld" (1990), was based on the late Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., who defended O.J. Simpson. Even the initials were the same.

On "Mission: Impossible" (1988), his character (Grant Collier) was the son of his father's (Greg Morris) character (Barney Collier) from "Mission: Impossible" (1966).
