3 August 2016 8:24 AM, PDT | | See recent news »

Although The Originals Season 4 won’t kick off until midseason on The CW, the cast and producers of the vampire drama were still able to tease a lot about what is planned for the upcoming season of the show at San Diego Comic-Con. One of the cast members that we were able to speak with was none other than Klaus Mikaelson himself, Joseph Morgan, who took some time during our interview to not only reflect on the journey that Klaus has gone on throughout the past three seasons but also preview what we can expect from him once Season 4 begins. The Originals Cast Bids A Hilarious Goodbye to The Vampire Diaries

25 July 2016 3:22 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

The Originals cast knows their finale ended on a heck of a note—so they understand why the wait until new episodes in 2017 is going to be so excruciating. "We don't know who is going to get killed with a baseball bat, we're all kneeling down in front of the camper," star Joseph Morgan revealed to E! News at Comic-Con. Hey, wait—isn't that The Walking Dead? Ok, fine, it's not actually their cliffhanger, Morgan confessed. (For the record, he doesn't know who dies on Twd and also thought that Jon Snow would be dead on Game of Thrones, so he might not be the best person to weigh in on plot twists.) While we were all talking about spoilers, we had the Originals »

On this day in pop culture history: ‘Top Gun’ premiered, ‘Seinfeld’ killed Susan

16 May 2016 6:00 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

30 years ago today, Navy fighter pilot hotshots Maverick, Iceman, and Goose first flew across big screens around the world. It was on May 16, 1986 that Top Gun opened in theaters. Already well on his way to becoming a household name thanks to 1983’s Risky Business, Tom Cruise became a certified movie star with the release of Top Gun. It was also the first hit for director Tony Scott, who went on to direct other action flicks and thrillers like Crimson Tide, Man on Fire, and Déjà Vu (which reunited him with Top Gun star Val Kilmer) before his death in 2012. Top Gun, a slick, upbeat, Reagan-era ode to masculinity, boasted a memorable soundtrack (with Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone”), impressive dogfights, an endlessly quotable though often goofy script, and, upon its release, immediate box office success. It became the highest grossing movie of 1986. Also on this day, »

The Originals' Tragic Death Leaves Klaus Out for Revenge In This Sneak Peek

5 May 2016 1:46 PM, PDT | E! Online | See recent E! Online news »

Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) is not someone who handles life well when things don't go his way, as we've learned over the past three seasons of The Originals (and on The Vampire Diaries before that). So naturally, he's not handling the death of his love, Cami (Leah Pipes) in the best way. E! News has an exclusive sneak peek at Friday's episode, in which Klaus is in the "anger" stage of his grief over Cami's murder. Well, Tbh, he's kind of always in a perma-anger stage but it's especially bad this week. He basically skips over the mourning and goes straight to the "avenging her death" portion of his grieving process, but Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) wants to do something a little »

Performer of the Week: Leah Pipes

The Performer | Leah Pipes

The Show | The Originals

The Episode | “No More Heartbreaks” (April 29, 2016)

The Performance | From the moment Camille O’Connell first appeared in Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries to the moment she bid farewell on Friday’s The Originals, she never stopped looking for her purpose — and, ideally, herself in the process. In fact, during her three-season transformation from bartender to psychologist to vampire, the only constant was Pipes’ commitment to the under-appreciated role.

But she never played into her character’s insecurities. In spite of her dark surroundings, Pipes always infused Cami with a sense of optimism »

Vampire Diaries Recap: Splitsville

Friday’s episode of The Vampire Diaries pummeled us with two major breakups, and I’m honestly not sure which split was more depressing.

The Originals' Joseph Morgan Talks Directing His First Episode, How He 'Couldn't Have Done It' Without Wife Persia White

Joseph Morgan gets by with a lot of help from his wife, Persia White. This week's episode of The Originals marks Morgan's television directorial debut. He's directed a few short films on the past, but never something on this scale, and he was surprised by how "huge" the episode ended up being in terms of sequences, stunts, and visual effects. Thankfully, his wife was by his side to support him through it all. "My wife was just incredible during the whole process. She was just so utterly supportive," Morgan, 34, tells People. "I couldn't have done it without her." During the eight days of filming, »
