‘The Originals’ Season 4 Blu-ray and DVD Bound This August

The sun may have finally risen on The Vampire Diaries, but that's stopped viewers from tuning into its spin-off, The Originals, which was recently picked up for a fifth season.

Season 4 starring Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood and Riley Voelkelhas already aired and is currently available to stream at Amazon, and next up is The Originals Season 4 Blu-ray and DVD release on August 29th.

Like Riverdale and many of The CW home video releases, The Originals Season 4 Blu-ray is coming from Warner Archive and will be available exclusively through online retailers.

iZombie renewed for season 4 by The CW

The television show iZombie has been renewed for a fourth season by The CW.

The CW has been a roll with renewing its series of late; 11 of their current shows are now set to return next season.

iZombie is based on characters by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and is published by DC Entertainment’s Vertigo.

iZombie tells the story of a medical resident turned zombie who tries to resist the urge of becoming just like the rest of the un-dead while passing as a regular human.

The show stars Rose McIver, Malcolm Goodwin, Rahul Kohli, Robert Buckley, David Anders and Aly Michalka.

CW Renews ‘The Originals’ and ‘iZombie’ for New Seasons

The CW has renewed “The Originals” and “iZombie” for the 2017-2018 television season, Variety has learned.

The Originals” will head into its fifth season, while “iZombie” will be heading into its fourth season.

Created by Julie Plec, “The Originals” is a spinoff of “The Vampire Diaries,” which premiered in 2013. The flagship “Vampire” series signed off this spring, ending its eight season run, so renewing “Originals” keeps the franchise at the network for at least another season.

“Originals” follows Joseph Morgan’s Klaus Mikaelson and his family in New Orleans. Morgan stars alongside Daniel Gillies, Phoebe Tonkin, Charles Michael Davis, Yusuf Gatewood and Riley Voelkel. Plec serves as executive producer with Leslie Morgenstein. The series hails from Bonanza Productions Inc., My So-Called Company, Alloy Entertainment, Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios.

The show has remained relatively stable in its fourth season, which is currently averaging a 0.3 rating in adults 18-49 and 972,000 viewers per episode. That »
