Her obituary in The Telegraph said, "Joan Morgan claimed to have been born in London on February 2 1905, though there is good reason to suspect the year was 1899." However, it appears that The Telegraph's suspicions were false. Her birth was registered in the Lewisham registration district (London, Greater London, and Kent) in the March quarter of 1905, vol. 1d, p. 1268. See more »
