"I know what I'm gunna do then: I'm gunna knock him spark out, and be back in here for lunch." Lionsgate UK has released an official trailer for My Name Is Lenny, telling the life story of famous bare-knuckle fighter Lenny McLean, who was the first to earn the iconic nickname "the Guv'nor". Josh Helman (seen in X-Men: Apocalypse, Mad Max: Fury Road, Jack Reacher) plays McLean, and the cast includes Chanel Cresswell, Nick Moran, John Hurt, Michael Bisping, Charley Palmer Rothwell, George Russo, and Rita Tushingham. This looks like an entertaining "sports" movie, following in the footsteps of films like Bronson and Snatch. It might also play well as a double feature with Chuck. This trailer is worth a look. Don’t Knock Twice, 2016.

Directed by Caradog W. James

Starring Katee Sackhoff, Lucy BoyntonJavier BotetNick MoranJordan BolgerPooneh HajimohammadiRichard Mylan and Ania Marson

Synopsis:

A mother desperate to reconnect with her troubled daughter becomes embroiled in the urban legend of a demonic witch.

The ever-likeable Katee Sackhoff strands herself in a well-made but trite Candyman knock-off that desperately strives to franchise itself out, but leans back on moldy haunted house tropes for the majority.

American sculptor Jess (Sackhoff) attempts to reconnect with her estranged British daughter Chloe (Lucy Boynton), who finds herself pursued by a relentless supernatural presence after knocking twice on the derelict home of her town’s deceased resident. Legend says that the demonic manifestation of the woman continues to haunt the house, and doesn’t take too kindly to Chloe’s visit.

Don’t Knock Twice is by no means a terrible film, »

Filming is well underway on the fourth series of the brilliant Inside No. 9. Here's who to expect among the guest cast...

Series one and two of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith's consistently inventive, continually surprising anthology strand Inside No. 9 have recently landed on Netflix UK, which will hopefully bring it to the attention of those who didn't catch it on the first run. If you're among them, then run, don't walk, etc. It's simply one of the best shows around.

Don’t Knock Twice Trailer Finds Katee Sackhoff Fighting A Witch

6 January 2017 2:21 PM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Mother and child horror films aren’t hard to find, especially these days. The Babadook might be the best of the bunch in recent years, but there’s still Goodnight Mommy, Lyle, the Carrie remake, Prevenge and now, Don’t Knock Twice, starring Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff, which will bring witches and evil spirits into the equation.

The premise is simple enough: a guilt-ridden mother (Sackhoff) tries to save her estranged daughter (Lucy Boynton) from an apparent curse from a vengeful witch, which terrorizes and haunts them, in the vein of Candyman or The Ring. But with its unsettling imagery, disturbing visuals and jarring editing, Don’t Knock Twice — not to be confused with Mike Birbiglia’s Don’t Think Twice from last summer, which is a completely different movie— certainly looks promising. We hope to say the same when it enters theaters, whenever that might be in the United States. »

First Trailer for Indie Horror 'Don't Knock Twice' with Katee Sackhoff

4 January 2017 6:47 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"She opens a doorway between hell, so she can devour the innocent. I think she's coming for me next..." An international trailer has debuted for a horror thriller titled Don't Knock Twice. Not to be confused with the indie comedy about an improv group, Don't Think Twice (which we highly recommend seeing), this film is a creepy horror thriller about a demonic witch. The cast includes Katee Sackhoff, Lucy Boynton, Nick Moran, Javier Botet and Jordan Bolger. This looks dark and moody and scary, most definitely, but it also doesn't look that original or interesting. Just more creepiness lurking in the dark. Give it a look anyway. Here's the official trailer (+ poster) for Caradog W. James' Don't Knock Twice, from YouTube (via Tmb): When a mother, desperate to reconnect with the daughter she abandoned, becomes embroiled in the urban legend of a demonic witch, she must go further »
