He was an actor and director, known for Manhandled (1924), The Woman Racket (1930) and Side Street (1929). He was married to Elinor Merry, Renée Adorée and Alice Joyce. Irish-born romantic lead, in films from 1908. Worked for Kalem, Pathé and Goldwyn in the 1910's. Voted by a trade journal in 1921 as one of the top fifteen male stars at the box office.
