World Championship Wrestling has been dead and buried for nigh on fifteen years now, and its corpse has been mined repeatedly for DVD sets, retro t-shirts, and premium video game Dlc.
WWE has never been afraid to tell us about their departed rival, but their version of WCW history is skewed to say the least. We hear about Goldberg, the nWo, and maybe the cruiserweights, because that’s what WCW was doing during the period they were beating WWE, but there’s literal decades of strange, wonderful wrestling that barely rates a mention according to them.
This list goes beyond the obvious, and well as outside WCW’s most successful periods, to paint a more accurate portrait of what was once one of the greatest promotions on Earth.

After 1999, it became harder and harder to find things to like in WCW.

There has been a lot of arguing on social media of late between WWE seamstress Julie Youngberg, who is the wife of former WWE/WCW star Shannon Moore and Reby Hardy, who is the wife of former WWE and current Tna star Matt Hardy.
According to Youngberg, Matt and Reby have been hacking and stalking her.
Here’s what Youngberg wrote on Facebook recently:
“So great news. The police came over the other day who are working on my case of the person/people who are hacking me, stalking me, making up horrible lies, slander, etc and are trying to break up the beautiful marriage Shannon and I have. Funny enough the cops traced the emails back to a town none other than Cameron Nc!!! Hmmm…lol, Just a little more time before they crack the false name the acct was opened under but they are working on it.

A couple catching a foul ball ignored a crying toddler and were caught on camera -- they rubbed it in his face! Three-year-old Cameron Shores and his parents Crystal and Kyle Shores attended a baseball game on April 25, but they couldn't have expected the drama that happened in the stands! Sean Leonard and Shannon Moore got lucky and caught a foul ball at a New York Yankees game. When they got the ball, they didn't realize that a little boy near them wanted the ball more than anything immediately started to cry! Luckily, he got a brand new ball from a player in the dugout -- how sweet! The Shores family is not taking the incident personally and admitted on The Today Show that they want Cameron to take the event as a life lesson of not always getting what you want. HollyMoms, what would you have done if this happened to your child?...

We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 28, and as always there is huge hype surrounding the top few matches on the card. But spare a thought for the match that takes place first on the card, whose job is to get the show off to a good start and psyche up the crowd.
What follows is a collection of the best of those opening matches, and what’s interesting is how many participants went on from opening the show, to main eventing it a few years later.
10. WrestleMania 15
Hardcore Title Match: Billy Gunn vs. Al Snow vs. Hardcore Holly
This match marked the first time that the Hardcore Title was defended at a Wrestlemania event. Prior to this match, Gunn was part of the Intercontinental Title programme, while his partner Road Dogg was the one known for Hardcore. For some reason, they switched divisions and Gunn defended here.

Bobby Roode retained successfully at Against All Odds so he rightfully was the main focus of the show this week. Although you have to question why he made Christy introduce him twice, he must be a glutton for punishment. He also rightfully pointed out that it’s Sting’s own fault he is still champion. The “Insane Icon” didn’t like this and so hit the ring and put him in a No Dq, No Time Limit match against Jeff Hardy in the first match. Is anyone still drug testing Jeff? Only someone on drugs could devise such terrible entrances and face paint every week. Either way, they had a decent opening match which even had a few spots around the stage and ramp. Hardy was all over Roode for the majority, and only lost when Kurt Angle made a return and threw Jeff into the steps.

Tna Against All Odds Recap
12th February 2012
Live From The Impact! Zone
Backstage the annoying cameraman tries to talk to Jeff Hardy but he just smirks and walks on. Rude. Following that, the opening video packages focuses on the World Title match and how important Hogan thinks the company is. It is a Vegas themed logo but that’s about as far as the theme gets. No Tazz tonight as he is dealing with a family death, so we have Tenay and Borash on the headsets.
#1 Contender’s Match to the X Division Title
Zema Ion vs. Jesse Sorensen
All that hairspray is bad for the environment Zema. Matt Morgan is not the only one with a “Carbon Footprint.” Jesse carries his football as always in this battle of the entrance props. He give his to a kid at ringside cause he’s that kind of guy. Zema gets in...

It’s the go home show before Bound For Glory which means its their last time to sell the show! And in an interview this week Hulk Hogan completely buried Robert Roode as a credible main eventer by saying he doesn’t think hes the guy, and that Angle should “Carry” him to a good match nonetheless. Way to bury your own main event Hulk.
Speaking of the main event, Kurt Angle, the defending champion is first out tonight and calls out his challenger Robert Roode right away. “Next World Champ” chant. Kurt says he booked the matches the past few weeks to try and break him down. Angle congratulates him for winning them, but reminds him he’s the greatest wrestler ever and he’ll prove it at Bfg. Then he extends a hand. Roode decides not to shake though and takes a mic. Roode...
