The ‘will they won’t they?’ story is one of the easiest and most effective ways to keep audiences glued to the screen. From Sam and Diane to Ross and Rachel, an effective TV relationship can go on and off again until long after the viewers are sick of it. The TV crush covers a wide spectrum of events: tantrums, fireworks lingering looks, and pent up secrets to name a few.
Indeed, the addition of at least one love story is now almost mandatory in a long-running TV show, and while it can be clumsily handled and completely unbelievable, it can also add a solid emotional core and another layer to the characters in question
Here’s five of television’s greatest ever crushes…
Helga & Arnold
Hey Arnold! (1996 – 2004)
It’s not the most mature crush, nor the most stable, but few (if any) unrequited love stories make such great use »

With the show itself not starting its run until June 7th, Disney have decided to drop a full length (31 minute) prologue for Tron Uprising on us via Youtube, as well as other sources around the globe. Thanks Disney Xd, you’re the best!
Tron Uprising takes place between the original Tron movie and Tron Legacy, with Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz as consulting producers as well as writers for this prologue episode ‘Beck’s Beginning’. The story is of Beck (Elijah Wood) a program who does not want to put up with Clu’s rule (remember Clu is the copy of Flynn that went rogue between Tron movies and was the villain in Tron Legacy – y’know, bad Jeff Bridges). Taking on the guise of Tron (the hero program that is presumed dead) Beck takes on Clu’s armies and starts to make the programs in »

While many Tron fans are still waiting (possibly in vain) for a sequel to Tron: Legacy, Disney Xd is bringing fresh Tron goodness right into the comfort of your own living room. The animated Tron: Uprising series doesn’t debut until June 7th, the first episode has been put online for those that are eager to get a peek at what’s in store. I’m not exactly the biggest Tron fan, but I’ve heard really great things about Uprising. From the bit of this episode that I watched, the animation looks pretty nifty and I’m sure fans of the films will enjoy visiting the Tron world through a weekly series. The story takes place between the events of Tron and Tron: Legacy. Hit the jump to watch the full episode. The voice cast includes Elijah Wood, Lance Henriksen, Mandy Moore, Nate Corddry, Paul Reubens, and Bruce Boxleitner. »

For the past few years at the upfronts, ABC has had both one of the more stable schedules among the broadcast networks while simultaneously picking up scads of new shows each season. Which means that while the network's anchors -- "Dancing With the Stars," "Grey's Anatomy," the Wednesday comedy block -- are doing well, its record of developing new hits has been underwhelming of late.
The network did score one of the only bona fide drama hits this season with "Once Upon a Time," which we see anchoring a new Sunday schedule now that "Desperate Housewives" is ending. But filling in the rest of our proposed ABC schedule was a tougher job than it was for NBC and Fox. It's not that there are a lot of holes, but what holes there are don't have many obvious patches.
Also? Almost all of the dramas ABC seems likely to order -- »

Update Friday Am: I’ve started hearing that drama pilot Zero Hour is heating up again and looks promising for a series order. Previous Thursday 8Pm: With NBC and Fox pretty much done with their new series pickups, ABC, which presents its fall schedule right after them on Tuesday, is at bat next. Here is my last take on the ABC pilot field heading into tomorrow, when the network is expected to make its picks. On the drama side, Nashville is on the schedule. Fellow soaps Americana and Red Widow (formerly Penoza) also look strong, along with the male-skewing Last Resort, which I hear may be launched as a limited/midseason series. In the magical series face-off between 666 Park Ave and Gotham, (Beauty & The Beast has dropped out of contention), 666 seems to have the upper hand but that could change. I hear Marc Cherry’s Devious Maids is fading fast »
