'Justice League: Throne of Atlantis' Clip Features Cyborg

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment offers an all-new clip from Justice League: Throne of Atlantis that reveals the initial discovery, by Cyborg (Shemar Moore) and Colonel Steve Trevor (George Newbern) of the event that could lead to a war between Atlantis and the surface dwellers, and sends the Justice League in search of Arthur Curry. In addition to the clip, we also have three new photos, and, for fans in Los Angeles, you can also find out how to attend the world premiere next month. The premiere will be held on January 12 at 7 Pm at the Paley Center for Media (465 North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills).

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released a new clip from DC Entertainment's animated film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. The story follows Justice League members Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, as they team up with a new superhero named Aquaman. Together they set out on a journey to prevent a war between the inhabitants of land and sea. 

The clip shows us the initial discovery by Cyborg and Colonel Steve Trevor of "the event that could lead to a war between Atlantis and the surface dwellers, [which] sends the Justice League in search of Arthur Curry." Here’s the synopsis of the movie:

DC Entertainment has released a super new trailer for their animated film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis called "Brother vs. Brother." They’ve also announced that it will be released on January 27th, 2015. The story follows Justice League members Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman as they team up with a new superhero named Aquaman. Together they set out on a journey to prevent a war between the inhabitants of land and sea. Mary Ellen Thomas, Wbhe Vice President, Family & Animation Marketing and Partner Brands said in a statement,

Arthur Curry (voiced by Matt Lanter) gets in a bar fight over a lobster in the first clip from Warner Bros.' latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis.

Arthur isn't exactly in the best shape, after having to bury his father, as he tries to have a heart-to-heart chat with a lobster. His situation gets even worse when he must defend that lobster's honor in a scene that debuted at New York Comic Con over the weekend.

The story centers on Arthur, who doesn't realize the powers he possesses yet as the heir to Atlantis, as Orm (voiced by Sam Witwer) and Black Manta battle their way to the surface. Queen Atlanna (voiced by Sirena Irwin) goes on a journey to find her long-lost son Arthur, who must team up with the Justice League to save the world.

The story is pulled from a 2013 DC Comics arc that consisted of five issues from DC's Justice League and Aquaman. The undersea nation of Atlantis decides to declare war on the surface world, which calls the attention of superheroes from around the globe. After decades of being the laughing stock of the DC Comics universe, Aquaman is finally getting the chance to shine in his own DC animated feature, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. Hardcore comic book fans have known for some time that there’s more to Aquaman than meets the eye, but general audiences still have a poor perception of the King of Atlantis.

The orange and green tights and ability to talk to fish haven’t really helped him much, but hopefully this iteration of his New 52 revamp will get people excited for his appearance in the burgeoning live-action DC cinematic universe (beginning, of course, with a small cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice).
