First Blind Film Director Makes Horror Movie

Joseph Monks lost his eyesight to diabetic retinopathy in 2002, but that did not stop him from pursing his life long dream of making a movie. The concept originated in early 2001 when Joe tossed around some ideas for a few short films. In 2001 and 2002 Monks continued to work on the script between his day job, invasive eye surgeries and long recovery periods. In 2002 Monks lost his job and his sight and focused his energies on his horror anthology of short stories entitled Stuff Out’a My Head. Now with other projects out of the way Monks was able to focus on producing his horror movie. (cont) »
