In the previous two Men in Black movies, the MiB video surveillance zoomed in on famous people who were in fact aliens (or suspected aliens): In the first film, the list included Isaac Mizrahi, Danny DeVito, Sylvester Stallone, George Lucas, and Steven Spielberg. In MiB3, which opens this weekend, the Men in Black are monitoring new celebr-e.T.s (trademark ours), including Lady Gaga (of course), Justin Bieber, the Dalai Lama, Shaun White, and Tim Burton. So when Vulture ran into director Barry Sonnenfeld at the premiere party on the Intrepid flight deck on Wednesday, we had to ask: What makes these people aliens?"This will get me into trouble," Sonnenfeld laughed. "But my theory behind Justin Bieber is that he's from Canada." The director then explained a larger theory behind aliens in Canada, in which an undisclosed alien species was planning to come down and live in the U. »

Following her father’s passing, Kelly Florio Kasouf attempted to write down their best memories together, including her frequent trips to New York City’s Conde Nast building as a child, where her dad, Steve Florio, served as publisher.
“I was missing my dad — and all these wonderful times I had with him, and I was so afraid I was forgetting his memory,” she tells People. “I sat at the computer and I wrote all of my memories down, and it turned out to be a children’s book.”

It used to be that designing for anything but a name brand retailer was looked down upon in the fashion world. Things changed in 2004 when H&M launched their first designer capsule collection with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. The collection was a sell-out, as all successive H&M budget collections have also been. Since then, many designers have launched budget versions of their upscale lines, as well as partnered with low budget retailers like Target, Wal-Mart and Kohl's to bring fashion to the mass-market at affordable prices. The latest frontier in designer deals isn't the brick and mortar stores, but the combination of TV programming and online shopping. Enter QVC, the worldwide home shopping into the fashion fray. The shopping behemoth has long sold established designers like Marc Bouwer and Isaac Mizrahi. For Spring 2012, they signed more designers including Geren Ford, Cynthia Vincent, Rachel Pally, Fern Mallis and Karen Zambois. »

We’ve got questions, and you’ve (maybe) got answers! With another week of TV gone by, here are some queries we’re going to lob at you, from shows including Supernatural, Pretty Little Liars, How I Met Your Mother, 90210 and The Office!
1 | Does Supernatural have to kill everybody? Ok, we don’t know that Frank’s gone for good, but that Jackson Pollock-esque blood splatter does not bode well.
2 | If Once Upon a Time‘s kiss between Charming and Snow could bring her loving memories back, then Chuck Bartowski’s smooch with Sarah must have worked too… right? »

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Episode 12, the finale, of Lifetime's "Project Runway All Stars."
Ladies and gentleman, this is the moment you've all been waiting for: It's the season finale of "Project Runway All Stars"!
Who will win? Who will lose? Who will wear the weirdest outfit to the big day?
We open on Mondo (which has become a habit), who ominously says, "Today is Judgement Day." That's otherwise known as the show's final fashion show. (Look out for my interview with the winner later today!)
Anyway, the boys are getting ready (though I use the term "boys" loosely, as Austin is literally rocking rollers). He says, "I'm like nervous. I'm gonna throw up." But then, cut to his talking head and he gets excited: "I'm a rock star. This is my chance to ... deliver my message about who Austin Scarlett is." A man in lipstick! »

I’m pretty certain there was heated disagreement among the five judges. (Was it possible Isaac Mizrahi was kicking Tommy Hilfiger’s shins just below camera range?) And honestly, any of the three remaining finalists could’ve/should’ve won — depending on what parameters were being considered. But whatever the case, we’ve finally got a winner in the long, not-as-fun-as-it-sounded-on-paper season of Project Runway All-Stars (alternate title, Project Runway: Lifetime Tries to Redeem Its Key Reality Franchise After the Horrors of Season 8).
Not surprisingly, after the runway had been stomped, the hemlines had been assessed, and host Angela Lindvall »

Mondo Guerra has been crowned the winner of Project Runway: All Star's first season. The 33-year-old Denver, Colorado native beat out fellow designers Austin Scarlett and Michael Costello to take home the grand prize during Thursday night's finale.
> 'Project Runway: All Stars' recap: Finale - part 2 Neiman Marcus fashion director Ken Downing and designer Tommy Hilfiger had joined Angela Lindvall, Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi on the judging panel as the finalists showed their six piece mini-collections at New York City's Gotham Hall. Guerra's collection, entitled 'Therapy', was inspired by the high levels of "insanity" he felt during the All Stars process and his subsequent channeling of his troubles into the clothing. Of the 13 designers who returned to compete in "Project Runway All Stars," we're down to three competing for the ultimate title.
Mondo Guerra, Austin Scarlett and Michael Costello are all vying for the ultimate title on the Lifetime series, which concludes Thursday, March 22 at 9 p.m. Austin and Michael both came in fourth place during their seasons, while Mondo finished second. Which designer are you rooting for in the "All Stars" finale?
Judge Isaac Mizrahi recently told Zap2it that the moment he and his fellow "All Stars" judges crowned an ultimate winner was his favorite moment from the entire experience.
"I think my most favorite moment was the ultimate moment when somebody won," the designer tells Zap2it. "I won't tell you who it was, but it was the best moment because week after week, the worst moment was sending somebody home."
So, who are you rooting for? Vote in our poll below, »

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Episode 11 of Lifetime's "Project Runway All Stars."
Turning on the TV to watch this week's episode, I was a little afraid of what I'd find. Home visits with the remaining designers, but no Tim Gunn? Whoever heard of such a thing?
No one apparently, because the structure has changed.
The first news we receive is that Austin shaved his mustache. Mondo says, "He used to look like Errol Flynn. Now he looks like Kermit The Frog." In case you thought that was a compliment because they all drooled over Miss Piggy earlier in the season, think again. The comment was meant to be nasty and it's only the beginning.

Isaac Mizrahi has had a great time serving as judge on Lifetime's "Project Runway All Stars," but his favorite moment from the series, which airs the first half of its two-part finale on March 15, hasn't happened yet.
"I think my most favorite moment was the ultimate moment when somebody won," the designer tells Zap2it on a conference call with reporters. "I won't tell you who it was, but it was the best moment because week after week, the worst moment was sending somebody home."
Rejecting one contestant each week was hard for the judges, Mizrahi says.
"I'll tell you what, honestly, I think every one of us is very candid about our criticisms, and we gave it to them as straight as possible. I would say that no matter what, it's difficult to tell someone they have to go home. No matter how nicely you put that, it's a difficult task. »

On a recent Netflix-streaming binge, I stumbled upon "Unzipped," a cult documentary that followed designer Isaac Mizrahi as he designed and showed his fall 1994 collection. With appearances by supermodels Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss and Amber Valetta (not to mention a 5-second cameo by our senior beauty editor Simone Kitchens' former model sister, Amy Kizer), the drama-filled film was the start of Mizrahi's high-profile, on-camera career, which is his main focus since his high-end line Isaac Mizrahi shuttered in 1997, and has included cameos on "Sex and The City," "Ugly Betty," and "Gossip Girl," in addition to serving as a judge on Bravo's "The Fashion Show" and now "Project Runway: All-Stars."

Isaac Mizrahi has had countless ups and downs as a designer, but that roller coaster ride may be just what makes him such an empathetic judge (and in many ways a counter to the merciless but funny Michael Kors) on "Project Runway All Stars." In a conference call with reporters, Mizrahi tackled topics ranging from his love for Teletubbies, why not watching the show has been good for him and his favorite moment on the show. Which designer do you think has grown the most over the course of the season? I think it's Michael, actually. I remember thinking when I first watched him »

And just like that, we’re down to the Final 4. Thursday night’s episode whittled down the field with a peculiar/interesting but ultimately not-very-rewarding challenge: The designers were tasked with creating avant garde looks using $100 in fabric and $300 of lightning technology. Pharrell Williams popped up as guest judge, offering a rather nebulous bonus prize of promising that one of his artists would eventually wear the winning design.
Here’s my take on the week’s five looks:

TheInsider.com caught up with Project Runway All-Stars' color-blocking pro Mila Hermanovski after untimely departure from Lifetime's hit show. In the interview, Mila reveals what she thinks of all the big egos, who went home too early and whom she wants to win it all!
The Insider: How did it feel to be on the show again?
Mila: It was exciting and terrifying at the same time. It was one of those, ‘oh, why did I come here again?’ moments. It’s definitely a rollercoaster.
Project Runway's Rami: They Didn't Want Me There Any More
The Insider: So then what made you come on the show again?
Mila: I’m trying to develop my collection, my line and my business. I’m not out to be a celebrity; I’m out from the standpoint to promote my work more than anything, and be out there in the media again, which will hopefully »

Highly policed and choreographed, yet prone to mishap and mismatch, the red carpet moment should be given more prominence at the Academy Awards
Oscar weekend is approaching, and despite the tonnes of commentary that attach to every aspect of the Academy Awards, there is one tradition that could do with more critical scrutiny: the "red carpet interview". One day there will be a PhD thesis – perhaps there is already – deconstructing the iconography and implied ideology of this increasingly important pre-ceremony convention.
The stars, theoretically intent only on strolling from the limos to the theatre, pausing perhaps for pictures, spontaneously consent to being waylaid by an ebullient, deferential interviewer, and come over for a quick, adoring chat across the velvet rope that separates the talent from the mortals. Interviewers such as Ryan Seacrest and Isaac Mizrahi have become famous for this.
But the clip here shows that the red carpet is »

Project Runway meets Broadway in the latest episode of All Stars when award-winning composer Stephen Schwartz challenges the designers to create an outfit for the actress Uzo Aduba in the Broadway musical Godspell. It's a separates challenge because the outfit will appear in a sequence where a group of actors piece it together bit by bit on the Uzo. Their brief is the character likes to show off how rich she is - but because the outfit comprises of various different pieces it can be colorful and unique. The key, apparently, is "ostentatious". As a prize, the winner will have their design actually featured in Godspell and a bio that features in the playbill.
