Hugh Jackman was shocked to hear he's been nominated for one of next year's Golden Globe Awards. The Australian star was at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton Hotel Thursday morning to present the nominations for next year's ceremony alongside Lucy Liu and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. But Hugh had the tables turned on him when he was told he was one of five stars nominated for Best Actor in a musical or comedy - for his role in upcoming flick Kate & Leopold. And Hugh - one of a host of Australians honored with nominations - was stunned to be named. He says, "It's a thrilling morning and I'm delighted that lots of other Aussies are up there with me. We used to watch the Golden Globes and the Oscars at home in Australia when I was a kid and have parties - but we never did them as well as the Americans." Jackman - who won't be seen in Kate & Leopold until its release in America on Christmas Day - will have to beat Ewan McGregor, Billy Bob Thornton, Gene Hackman and John Cameron Mitchell to pick up the gong at the ceremony on January 20th.
