Oscar nominated movie producer and agent Howard G. Minsky has died at his home in Palm Beach, Florida at the age of 94.
Minsky started out in Hollywood during the silent era, and carved out a long career as an executive at studios Fox and Paramount, later working as an artist agent for William Morris.
His most famous career achievement was taking Love Story to the big screen in 1970, after Erich Segal's script had been rejected by most of Tinseltown.
The movie, starring Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw, became a massive hit, earning seven Academy Award nominations.
Minsky went on to write his own love story, which was published last year, about his 65-year marriage to wife Sylvia, who died in 2002.
Minsky is survived by his daughter Marcia Halperin.
