Geek Gossip: Jim Caviezel is in Transit; predator horror for plane crash survivors in Tape 407; Locked in a Room announces premiere

In his first feature film for four years, TV's Person of Interest star Jim Caviezel is back on the big screen this weekend in new release Transit.

Billed as a "high-octane, explosive action thriller", Transit comes from producer Joel Silver (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, The Matrix) and After Dark Films and is released by G2 Pictures.

It stars Caviezel (The Thin Red Line, Passion of the Christ), James Frain (Tron: Legacy, True Blood), Elisabeth Rohm (Abduction, Heroes), Diora Baird (30 Days of Night, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and Harold Perrineau (Lost, The Matrix Reloaded) and is directed by Antonio Negret (Seconds Apart).

Just out of prison, Nate (Caviezel) needs to regain his family's trust and decides to take them on a road trip.

Danny Trejo and Eric Roberts Touch The Cloth in Horror Teaser Trailer

Writer/director and actor Justin Price's new thriller 'The Cloth' is expected to finish up post-production real soon and will likely be seeking a 2012 release date. Nice. For now we'll just have to make do with a a teaser trailer from the production about a secret organization within the Catholic Church that attempt to counter increasing demonic possessions. Danny Trejo ('Machete') and Eric Roberts ('The Dark Knight'), Dancer cum actress (and well-ripped) Rachele Brooke Smith -below ('Burlesque'), John Greer, Steven Brand, Robert Miano, Lassiter Holmes, Justin Price and Asad Farr all star. Nightbeasts Secures Distribution for Foreign Markets Through Wonderphil Productions

The last time 28Dla had heard from Nightbeasts the film had won "Best in Genre (Horror)" at the Midnight Black Festival of Darkness. The good news continues as Wes Sullivan has recently announced that his film has received foreign distribution through Wonderphil Productions. Those lucky enough to live in Europe and other territories will be able to view the film in a limited theatrical run followed by multiple secondary releases on home video, video-on-demand and television. Those located domestically or in North America will have to wait just a little longer as the film is currently in negotiations with multiple partners for a showing in Canada and the United States.

Resurrection County to Release on DVD March 20th through Mti Home Video: DVD Artwork

Mti Home Video has picked up Matt Zettell's (The Cellar Door) Resurrection County for distribution on DVD March 20th. The film involves several friends travelling through some backwoods. In Enoch, they find an inhospitable welcome and vigilante justice when a small event turns into a bigger and bloodier deal. The DVD artwork is left in blood reds and the release will be sparse on extras, but the trailer promises a few thrills with a town of murderous rednecks. Check this one out on DVD in just a few weeks.

Tagline: "In this town there are no second warnings."

Release Date: March 20th, 2012 (DVD).

Director: Matt Zettell.
