Things are slowing down for the holiday weekend, but its still pretty busy enough to tame that holiday stress.
New Girl is planning another episode about the roommates’ exes, with Adam Brody playing Jess‘ ex. Seems like she had a weakness for energetic guys with dark hair.
First Dylan O’Brien then me, eh?
Monday’s theatrical screenings of Doctor Who‘s “Day of the Doctor” special was the number two movie for the day, ranking only behind The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In my home town, screenings were fairly limited — you couldn’t catch a matinee — which makes it an even stronger performer.

That ‘70s Show Season 8, Episode 21, “Love of My Life” & Season 8, Episode 22, “That ‘70s Finale”
Directed by David Trainer
Written by Greg Mettler
Original Airdate: May 18, 2006 on Fox
In this decade it’s extremely difficult to find a sitcom that is as perfect as That ‘70s Show was. This show was, and still is, one of the best coming of age/high school set sitcoms (after Freaks and Geeks of course). It’s probably not the first finale that comes to mind when thinking about greatest television finales; but for me it’s way up there.
With good vibes, brilliant writing, and excellent characters that actually evolve That ‘70s Show is, to me, the ideal sitcom. What starts off as a comedy centered on the ‘70s, with a boy with mistaken ideals and a lack of confidence, soon turns into a series of memories, with six characters who weren’t adults »

With his new project The Awesomes, Seth Meyers is approaching Ryan Seacrest levels of ubiquity. The longtime head writer of SNL will be returning to his "Weekend Update" desk this fall, then exiting in time for the debut of Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2014. (Seth is replacing Jimmy Fallon, who's been bumped up to The Tonight Show.) And then there's The Awesomes, which marks both Meyers's and Hulu's first foray into original animation. Created with SNL vet Mike Shoemaker, The Awesomes chronicles the formation of a new superhero team, composed of heroes rejected from other teams for things like "mommy issues" and "age." Meyers and Shoemaker essentially made the show by following their friends around with microphones; the voice actors include Saturday Night Live cast members Taran Killam, Bill Hader, and Kenan Thompson; SNL writers Paula Pell and Emily Spivey; Madtv's Ike Barinholtz, Bobby Lee, and Josh Meyers »

Being Robin has its perks, chief among them the sweet hang time with Batman, but for the most part fighting crime as a superhero sidekick isn't all it's cracked up to be.
In "The Sidekick," a superhero short starring Rob Benedict (who also wrote the film), Ron Livingston, Lizzy Caplan, Josh Meyers, Ian Barinholtz, and others, a slew of number twos in tights lament their chosen line of work while also setting out to be the best they can be. But in the case of Benedict's Max McCabe, an unemployed and glaringly inept sidekick, his best may not be good enough.
"Sidekicks are a dying breed," says Barinholtz's Spandex-wearing character. "We have no relevance in this digital age."
"The Sidekick" will premiere at San Diego Comic-Con on July 18, where Benedict hopes to drum up interest for more from his quirky characters.

Esquire Network (the re-branded G4 channel) debuts this fall with several original series. But the one I’m most excited about is The Getaway (Sept. 25 at 9 p.m.). From executive producer Anthony Bourdain and Zero Point Zero Production, each hour-long episode features a revolving cast of travel-loving celebs who take viewers on a tour of some of the world’s greatest cities. And since it’s the closest I’ll ever get to actually traveling with Joel McHale, I’ll gladly live vicariously through my DVR. A few of the participating celebrities had previously been announced, but check out the »

One of the first things Seth Meyers and Michael Shoemaker realized they had in common when they met at Saturday Night Live in 2001 was a love of comic books. They always thought it’d be fun to do an animated show for adults about superheroes, and around 2006, the idea for The Awesomes began to crystallize. But it didn’t become a reality until they found the 10-episode series a home at Hulu, where it will premiere Aug. 1 (after a planned screening and panel at Comic-Con in July). The story revolves around the greatest superhero team in history, The Awesomes, and »

The cast of Hannibalhopes you don't ahve dinner plans and are open to new experiences.
NBC finally made it official that Jimmy Fallon will become host of The Tonight Show in 2014, settling weeks of rumor saying this was about to happen. Now there's the question of the new Late Night host.
Syfy has ordered a new competition series, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Exit is based on a Japanese show and follows four teams trying to make it out of a series of four rooms, facing a variety of puzzles.
I may love watching Mad Men but covering it in the listings is a pain thanks to generic episode teasers like (I kid you not) "Don launches a new campaign," "Peggy ponders taking a trip" or "Pete encounters an interesting stranger. »

It's a big week for Fox's "The Mindy Project." The freshman comedy will air two episodes -- one tonight (April 2) and another on Thursday (April 4) following "American Idol" and a special "New Girl" -- and introduce two new love interests for series creator and star Mindy Kaling's character Dr. Mindy Lahiri.
Anders Holm ("Workaholics") begins a four-episode arc tonight as a character Kaling describes as a "minster with a lot of swagger. It's almost like he's a minister crossed with a Vegas party promoter."
He and Mindy quickly hit it off and enter into what Kaling calls Mindy's "raciest relationship yet. It's a very funny dynamic to have that with a Christian minister."
Thursday's episode welcomes guest star Josh Meyers (of "Mad TV" and the real life young brother of "Saturday Night Live" head writer Seth Meyers, who guest starred in "Mindy" episode "Hiring and Firing" earlier this season »
