In addition to his work on "Gunsmoke," he also contributed scripts to radio shows such as "Lux Radio Theatre," "The Bakers' Theatre of Stars," "The Black Book," "Fort Laramie," and "Escape." He served as editorial supervisor on the radio series "Romance."

Meston's script for the 1959 Gunsmoke episode "Jayhawkers" was published in an anthology of western stories called 'The Old West in Fiction,' 1961, edited by Irwin R. Blacker.
