Wolverine 3 wraps production

22 August 2016 3:50 PM, PDT | Cinelinx | See recent Cinelinx news »

Wolverine 3 has wrapped production and no one is more excited then Hugh Jackman himself.

It has been roughly 16 years that Hugh Jackman has been playing the character of Wolverine. Love or hate the X-Men Films, I think we can all agree he has become synonymous with the character. Rivaled only by possibly Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Now as Wolverine 3 has wrapped production Jackman has taken to his Instagram in celebration of his final outing of the beloved mutant.

Goodbye iconic Wolverine chops, as the man cleans himself up. We know very little about the 3rd and final Wolverine solo film. Most have speculated that it will be following the Old Man Logan story line as much as possible However, if you stayed for the post credits earlier this year on X-Men: Apocalypse, we can all say the safe bet has Wolverine going up against, my personal favorite X-Men villain, »

Hugh Jackman Says Goodbye to Wolverine by Shaving His Chops

22 August 2016 11:58 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Just a few days ago, Hugh Jackman shared one final photo from New Mexico as production wrapped on Wolverine 3, which is set for release on March 3, 2017. Now that filming is completed, the countdown to the first trailer begins, although it's unclear when any footage, or even the official title for that matter, will be unveiled. While we wait for more information, Hugh Jackman shared a video on social media, with the actor saying goodbye for good to his Logan character's signature mutton chops.

Early this morning, the actor posted a brief eight-second video on Twitter where he's seen using an electric razor to shave off his Wolverine mutton chops. The actor also reveals that his wife, producer Deborra-Lee Furness, will be "very happy" that his facial hair is gone. Since the R-rated action-thriller Wolverine 3 will be Hugh Jackman's last turn as Logan/Wolverine, this video surely marks the end of his 16-year muttonchops era, »

Wolverine 3 Wraps in New Mexico

19 August 2016 5:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Back in early May, filming began on 20th Century Fox's Wolverine 3, which has been confirmed to be Hugh Jackman's last movie as the title character, which will also be R-rated. While there is still very little known about the actual story, a few set photos surfaced during the production, which started in New Orleans before moving to New Mexico. Now it seems filming has wrapped, with star Hugh Jackman posting a fond farewell to the state.

While Hugh Jackman doesn't specifically say that filming has wrapped in his Twitter image, which features the actor overlooking some picturesque New Mexico scenery, he does say "Thank you New Mexico!" On Location Vacations has also confirmed that filming has wrapped, with the actor posting photos back in his native Australia just a few days after his goodbye image. Now that filming has wrapped, hopefully 20th Century Fox will finally start revealing any details about this mystery project, »

Gunge, pub quizzes and a baby: Edinburgh Fringe review

Jenny Morrill Alex Carter Aug 17, 2016

Get Your Own Back Live, Knightmare, Chloe from 24 and a bit of GroupOn? Jenny and Alex have been to the Fringe...

We've just spent a week at the Edinburgh Fringe, where we devoted equal amounts of time to eating, tutting and refusing leaflets. In between this, we managed to fit some shows in.

We're going to talk about some of these shows here, instead of telling you about the thousands of hipsters we encountered. Seriously, guy doing “street typing” on a typewriter – no thanks.

Get Your Own Back Live!

I'll cut to the chase here – being in the audience for Get Your Own Back Live was the most fun I've had since I was born. And I'm counting that time I found a bottle of mystery booze in a hedge.

The show is a pretty faithful (if cheaper and more self-aware) version of the original. »

Hugh Jackman Teases Old Man Logan Look in Wolverine 3

11 August 2016 6:37 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Production has been under way for the past few months on Wolverine 3, which has easily been the most secretive in the entire trilogy. 20th Century Fox has yet to even confirm the full cast list and even the official title. We have already seen a few set photos featuring Hugh Jackman in action, and there have long been rumors that this movie, which will be Hugh Jackman's last as Wolverine, will be adapted from the Old Man Logan comic book. Today we have another photo of Hugh Jackman which may hint at the Old Man Logan story line after all.

The actor posted this latest image on Instagram, which doesn't seem to be from the set, featuring the actor giving a thumbs up next to three rather large fish. Still, he looks quite skinnier in this photo, which have some questioning whether this new look is for the movie, »

Get Your First Look At Hugh Jackman In Old Man Logan Makeup For The Wolverine 3

11 August 2016 2:24 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Hugh Jackman’s spent a large portion of his acting career playing the adamantium-clawed X-Man known as Wolverine. 16 years in fact, as he first came to prominence in that very role in 2000’s X-Men. While that’s a decent amount of time for a person to you know, age, this latest image from the Aussie actor’s Instagram has some folks all in a flutter because he looks really old.

The thing is: he’s supposed to be old in The Wolverine 3. The third instalment – and reportedly his final stint as Logan/Wolverine – takes its cues from a well-loved comic series set in an alternate timeline called Old Man Logan. The future of that world features a grizzled Wolvie who quests across America with Hawkeye to help save his family from Hulk’s mutated offspring.

So, while plenty of fans offered condolences to Jackman for appearing so haggard, they really have no need to worry. »

The Wolverine 3 May Signal Patrick Stewart’s Final Turn As Professor X

10 August 2016 11:51 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Hugh Jackman’s tenure as James “Logan” Howlett stretches all the way back to the year 2000, when the beloved Aussie first donned those iconic claws as Wolverine. Now primed to make his eighth appearance as the enraged Mutant in James Mangold’s The Wolverine 3, it’s all but certain that Jackman will bid adieu to Logan come 2017 – but he may not be the only X-Men stalwart ready to part ways with the franchise.

Sir Patrick Stewart, who is just shy of Jackman’s impressive record with seven screen appearances in 20th Century Fox’s superhero flagship, has revealed that The Wolverine 3 is “probably the end of the franchise” for his Professor X, though admitted that anything is possible in the realm of science-fiction and, in particular, comic book movies.

Sir Patrick Stewart on Professor X in ‘Wolverine 3’

9 August 2016 11:37 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Sir Patrick Stewart has been talking about his upcoming role in the in-production Wolverine 3, which we suspect will not be its final title. The film is expected to be the legendary actor’s final turn as Professor Charles Xavier, something that he kind of confirmed when speaking with ITV.

“I would imagine this is probably the end of this franchise for me. But the thing about science fiction and fantasy is that you can never, ever say it’s the end, it’s over,” he said.

“Jean Grey vaporised me [in X-Men: The Last Stand]. From which you would think there would be no return. But watch out in March. I’m going to be back,” he said referring to the movie’s release date.

The third stand-alone Wolverine movie, which is also rumoured to be Hugh Jackman’s last as the title character is being directed by James Mangold and will also star Stephen Merchant, »

Thoughts I Had While Staring at the "Table 19" Poster

11 July 2016 6:50 AM, PDT | FilmExperience | See recent FilmExperience news »

Manuel here. There is nothing funnier (I guess?) than a wedding, which explains why Table 19 is the latest comedy to tackle the hilarity of seeing two people profess their love to one another in as public a venue as one can imagine. I joke, though I have to admit this sub-genre has many great examples to justify its continued deployment: Father of the Bride, Bridesmaids, My Best Friend's Wedding, Muriel's Wedding, Four Weddings and a Funeral. Heck, even Wedding Crashers and The Wedding Singer have their charm.

Will Table 19 join that esteemed group? Let's take a look at its poster:

- Can we all agree this is a pitch perfect teaser poster? It gives you a sense of tone and setting with one simple image. I do wish we'd gotten fancier nail art though.

- "Don't Fit In. Take A Number" strikes me as a better tagline for »

Anna Kendrick stars in the first trailer for ‘Table 19’

8 July 2016 12:01 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

The very first trailer for the upcoming comedy Table 19 has just landed online. The film features a pretty decent cast in Anna Kendrick, Craig Robinson, Stephen Merchant and Lisa Kudrow and will land in UK cinemas early 2017.

Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) – having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text – decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend’s wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the ‘random’ table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone’s secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships – and even a little romance – can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.
