Haven finally has a Season 5 premiere date, and a new time slot to go with it.

The supernatural Syfy drama will launch the first 13 of its 26 new episodes on Sept. 11, now airing Thursdays at 10/9c, castmember Eric Balfour revealed on Twitter.

Now these films have managed to center on mystery,  adventure, and even intergalactic threats. Sci-fi films as whole have existed for quite some time, and some films have even become iconic. Syfy is getting in on the zombie craze, and as such has announced the cast of its upcoming action-horror series, Z Nation.

Harold Perrineau (Lost), Tom Everett Scott (Southland) and DJ Qualls (Supernatural) have joined the 13-episode series, which follows a team of everyday heroes three years after a zombie virus has devastated the country. Together, the group must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, as he is their only hope for a vaccine.

Laura Mennell Joins Syfy’s ‘Haven’

“The Watchmen” actress Laura Mennell will become the newest resident on Syfy’s “Haven” when she joins the series in the recurring role of Dr. Erin Reid, an epidemiologist from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who fears the town of Haven is on the verge of a deadly viral outbreak.

Filming for the fifth season of “Haven,” which also stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour, is currently underway in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Based on Stephen King’s novella “The Colorado Kid,” “Haven” follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker as she becomes a cop in Haven, Maine and discovers the small town’s secrets that may help unlock the mysteries of her lost past.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Laura Mennell, who played the “suggestive” Nina on Syfy’s Alphas, has joined Haven Season 5 in the recurring role of a brilliant (and, well, beautiful) epidemiologist from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who fears the titular town is on the verge of a deadly viral outbreak.
