Haven Returns For Season 5 – Get Ready With A Supertease

10 September 2014 3:15 PM, PDT | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

For some, the fourth season of Haven might have started going a little goofy. For others, at least it moved somewhat away from the episodic focus, and paid attention to bigger issues. For still others, the show is really getting good. Wherever you fall, you don’t want to miss the premiere of the fifth season, and yes, even if you are among those who thought the show was not doing its best last year.

Things are going to be interesting right from the start, because it looks as though perhaps Audrey isn’t returning, and this may turn into the Mara show. Well, it doesn’t seem especially likely that this is a permanent direction the show will go, but who knows?

Take a look at the video below, and make sure you catch this one this Thursday!

By the way, don’t forget that Laura Mennell is headed to Haven this season. »

Why Sci-fi Based Superheros Can be Solid Films

9 July 2014 12:28 PM, PDT | ComicBookMovie.com | See recent ComicBookMovie news »

The role of ComicBook films expands every year. They fill vast genres and pull off more than the simple "Person in tight spandex" aspect so many people give them credit for. Now these films have managed to center on mystery,  adventure, and even intergalactic threats. Sci-fi films as whole have existed for quite some time, and some films have even become iconic. If it's not 'Alien' it's 'Blade Runner'. And if it's not those two then it's 'The Thing'. Of course when it boils down to it all comic book based films are rooted in the world of science fiction. But this article's main focus is on those comic properties that share heavy-ties to the final frontier. "I love the science fiction genre because there is always so many endless possibilities! It is a limitless genre and can be fun playing around with otherworldly ideas." - Laura Mennell »
