Rudolf Meinert was born on September 28, 1882 in Vienna, Austria-Hungary as Rudolf Bürstein. He was a director and producer, known for Het meisje met den blauwen hoed (1934), Die Fächermalerin (1913) and Das Mysterium des Schlosses Claude (1917). He died in 1943 in Majdanek Concentration Camp, Lublin, Lubelskie, Poland. See full bio »

He emigrated to France in 1937 but he was not in a safe place for a long time. According to Kay Weniger's "Es wird Dir im Leben mehr genommen als gegeben" Rudolf Meinert was caught in France in 1943 and transported to Drancy. After his deportation to the KZ Majdanek he was killed there probably between 1943 and 1945. See more »
