His first job was as a butcher's assistant - making sausages and scraping lard off metal trays.

He didn't want it to be a biographical thing about Madness, but it tells of being in borstal, as Lee was, and split families, which most of us came from. It was a hit, but we spent too much on the sodding production. And there's nothing more cheery than passing the Queen musical, and seeing it on for its 12th fucking successful year.
(January 2006) Madness continue to record and perform to this day, despite their lead guitarist's departure in May 2005.
(November 2007) DJ on the UK's Virgin Radio station. His show is in the early afternoon and he calls it the Afternoon Tea show.
