William Shatner has a new film coming out called Aliens Ate My Homework and today he introduces the first trailer for it. The movie is based on the book series by Bruce Coville, and Shatner explains that he plays an "intrepid intergalactic adventurer known as Phil the Plant."

The movie is based on the first book in the Rod Allbright and the Galactic Patrol series and the story follows two middle school students looking for an alien outlaw hiding on Earth. Obviously, the studio is hoping to produce a series of films based on this property. The whole thing looks silly, but it seems like something the kids will enjoy.

Trailer Watch: Helen Hunt Leads a Girls’ Volleyball Team to Glory in “The Miracle Season”

The Miracle Season

“How many teams ever win two championships back to back? Almost none,” a high school volleyball coach (Helen Hunt) tells her team in the trailer for “The Miracle Season.” The girls of West High School seem poised to to beat the odds and claim their second consecutive victory at state championships — until their captain and star player Caroline (Danika Yarosh) dies in a tragic accident.

The team is left reeling and mourning the loss of their friend and strongest player, but it’s the coach and Caroline’s best friend Kelly (Erin Moriarty) who seem to be hit the hardest. Kelly takes over as team captain, but the girls have gone from champions to underdogs without Caroline.

After devoting themselves to the gym and the court, the girls manage to reclaim their concentration and enthusiasm and rebuild their team. They’ve become serious contenders. “You strong women.

Trailer for 'The Miracle Season' Inspiring True Story of Volleyball Team

"How is the team looking?" Ld Entertainment has debuted a trailer for a true story film titled The Miracle Season, about a high school girls' volleyball team that had to overcome a tragic loss of one of their players. The cast of the film is lead by Helen Hunt, William Hurt, Danika Yarosh, Erin Moriarty, as well as Tiera Skovbye and Nesta Cooper. The Miracle Season is based on the inspiring true story of West High School girls' volleyball team. In 2011, their star player Caroline Found tragically died in a moped accident, but the team (and the entire town) came together and overcame the odds. The story was already profiled on HBO's "Real Sports" series, but this is the feature film version. The title reminds me of The Winning Season, but this is probably closer to We Are Marshall than anything else. Another inspiring sports story to enjoy. Here's the

Film Review: ‘The Reagan Show’

Film Review: ‘The Reagan Show’
The Reagan Show” is a documentary with a very catchy angle. It purports to be about how the presidency of Ronald Reagan brought the techniques of show business and mass-media image-making into the center of politics — not a novel insight, to be sure, but one that comes off as timelier than ever. (You could argue that what Ronald Reagan started Donald Trump perfected.) “The Reagan Show,” unfortunately, isn’t the movie that it pretends to be. It’s a glib and scattered exposé, the sort of ersatz thesis film that invites you to chuckle at the sight of Reagan doing multiple takes of a campaign commercial while flubbing the name “Sununu” over and over again. The inclusion of this vintage “feed” footage is supposed to be an image-making joke (look, the president was just a glorified TV hack!) as well as a tweak of Reagan’s shaky mental abilities (and he couldn’t even get John Sununu’s

Nicolas Cage Wanted for Ronald Reagan Biopic

Nicolas Cage Wanted for Ronald Reagan Biopic
Back in April, we reported that Will Ferrell had agreed to star in and produce Reagan, where the actor was to play U.S. President Ronald Reagan as he slips into dementia during his second term in the Oval Office. While we never heard any further updates on that project, Will Ferrell dropped out after the late President's daughter Patti Davis called complained, calling Ferrell's decision to appear a "heartless move". While that project seems to be dead in the water, today we have word that Nicolas Cage may play Ronald Reagan in a much different movie about the former 80s President.

Page Six reports that Nicolas Cage has been offered the lead role of Ronald Reagan in a currently untitled project that will, "show the conservative president in a flattering light, infuriating the liberal Hollywood crowd." This report didn't have any further details on this project, but they did

Ronald Reagan Biopic Draws ‘Soul Surfer’ Director Sean McNamara

Ronald Reagan Biopic Draws ‘Soul Surfer’ Director Sean McNamara
Soul SurferSean McNamara has signed to helm a Ronald Reagan biopic that’s set to start production next spring.

The independent movie, titled “Reagan,” will cover Reagan’s life from his teenage years through his becoming the 40th President in 1981 as seen through the eyes of a Kgb agent assigned to follow him during his presidency of the Screen Actors Guild between 1947 and 1952. Reagan testified in 1947 as a friendly witness at the start of hearings by the House Unamerican Activities Committee, which led to the creation of the Hollywood Blacklist.

Reagan was governor of California from 1967 to 1975 and easily won two terms as President. He died in 2004.

Space Cowboys” writer Howie Klausner is writing the script for the $25 million project. Mark Joseph is producing and Ralph Winter is executive producing.

David Henrie, who starred in Disney Channel’s “Wizards of Waverly Place,” has signed to star as the young Reagan.

Sean McNamara Tapped To Helm Ronald Reagan Biopic

The Hollywood Reporter has caught wind of a new, independent Ronald Reagan biopic picking up steam and today, it’s found its director.

According to the report, it is Soul Surfer and The King’s Daughter helmer Sean McNamara that will take point on the political picture, one that’s set to recount the “40th president’s life as chronicled by a Kgb agent who was assigned to follow him during the early days of the Cold War, when the future president was vehemently anti-Communist while running the Screen Actors Guild.”

Simply titled Reagan, THR notes that Howie Klausner (Space Cowboys) is attached to the pen the script – mining material from Paul Kengor’s pair of biographies – and though there’s no mention of who will step into the Oval Office as Ronald Reagan, we understand that Disney breakout David Henrie (Wizard’s of Waverly Place) is on board to
