His "wild-eyed appearance" was due to an accident at 6 years of age. He was trying to untie a knot in a toy gun holster with a fork when it slipped and severed his left eye. The injury left his eyes extremely sensitive to light and he had to wear dark glasses or sunglasses for medical reasons. Wore contact lenses while playing. See more »
