- A festival programmer, and film strategist/publicist with more than 25 years experience, Kathleen McInnis works with emerging world-cinema filmmakers as they launch careers from the global film festival circuit and cultivate new audiences.
Under her company, See-Through Films LLC, Kathleen designs individual publicity campaigns for each film specific to their goals and expectations. She works to expand filmmaker networks, broaden audience and raise profile for both the films and filmmakers at festivals such as Sundance, Berlin and Toronto.
For nearly 30 years, Kathleen has helped discover emerging filmmakers from around the globe: She was a Lead Programmer, Director of Publicity and Director of Industry Programming at Seattle International Film Festival; Festival Director at Slamdance Film Festival; Festival Director at Palm Springs ShortsFest; Programmer for International Shorts at Toronto Int'l Film Festival and most recently, Director of Programming at Aspen Shorts. She is the Curator of SIFF's New Works-In-Progress Forum.
