Jeri Ryan has landed a guest-starring role on NCIS as Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) never-before-seen ex-wife, EW has learned. The Body of Proof and Leverage alum will play Rebecca, who will appear in an episode slated for January 2015. Gibbs has been previously married four times; three relationships ended in divorce and one in the death of his wife (the part was played by both Darby Stanchfield and Aviva). Seven of Nine is two of three.
Meaning, TVLine has learned that Jeri Ryan will fill the plum NCIS role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ never-before-seen second ex-wife, Rebecca, who will be introduced in a January 2015 episode of the long-running CBS drama.

What makes me think this is just how excited the creatives behind NCIS seem to be about the possibility of finally introducing Gibbs’ second ex-wife. Sure, it’s someone we’ve heard about, but has remained entirely unknown and mysterious. Is it really worth a whole storyline for?
While it hasn’t been officially ordered, it looks like Season 12 is going to be the place for this character’s introduction. Gary Glasberg told TVLine that Ex-wife No. »
