First off, I have to tell you that this page may load slow. We're making an awful lot of calls to the Amazon Api here, and that's bound to monkey with things. If you have no idea what that means... it's shiny. Please note also that, for the same reason, you may find, depending on traffic, that not all of the Amazon details will load properly. I apologize for that, it's just the nature of the beast, and the fact that the Api wasn't really meant for such things. If you refresh, it will probably fix.
You may have heard me mention this giveaway quite a while ago, and it's taken me a long time to figure out what sort of format to put things in, and I kept added things. Eventually it became too much to really give any kind of run down on the items, so I decided »

If there is anything I’ve learned about being on film sets it’s this: You do more waiting around than anything else. Going into this set visit my goal was to get as many interviews as I could. Even if that meant grabbing interviews from set movers or craft services, of which we did. So when people integral to the production would walk to and from set, our wonderful handler Rachel, who also happens to be the Director of Marketing at American World Pictures, would grab them and away we went. A few such people included Visual Effects Supervisor Bo Opfer, Production Designer Bryan McBrien and Make-Up Artists Roxanne Pike and Josh Dunlap. Each of their parts in the production is crucial and generally happens when the cameras aren’t rolling. However, once the director yells “Action” their work is front and center.
The first of my conversations was a chat with Bo Opfer. »

Update: I originally posted a trailer for this movie that I found on Youtube, and the Deadline commenters have spent the day beating it like it owed them money. The producers have appealed to my sense of fair play because, they said, the trailer was an early sales tool that doesn't reflect the quality of the finished film. So I've pulled the trailer. Exclusive: Arc Entertainment is teaming with Barry Gordon's XLrator Media to acquire U.S. distribution rights to Bunraku, the Guy Moshe-directed martial arts action film that premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last fall. The film stars Josh Hartnett, Ron Perlman, Demi Moore, Woody Harrelson, Kevin McKidd, Jordi Molla, Gackt Camui and Shun Sugata. Hartnett plays a mysterious drifter who arrives in town the same time as a young Japanese warrior (Gackt). The town has been poisoned by criminal elements, and each man moves along toward separate missions, »

DreamWorks Animation has announced that Chris Pine, Hugh Jackman, Jude Law, Alec Baldwin and Isla Fisher will voice the 2012 DreamWorks Animation 3D film Rise of the Guardians. We've known about the Dreamworks Animation adaptation of William Joyce's book series The Guardians of Childhood for some time [1]. The book series, called "a contemporary fairytale based on existing fairytale characters" involves the world's five unlikeliest heroes - Jack Frost, North (aka Santa), Bunnymund (the Easter Bunny), Tooth (the Tooth Fairy), and Sandy (the Sandman) - who must band together to stop an ancient spirit called Pitch (the Boogeyman) from plunging the world into eternal darkness. Of course, the characters have been "somewhat renamed and massively re-imagined". Joyce's work inspired Disney's Meet The Robinsons. Variety [2] reports that Law will play Pitch (the Boogeyman), Pine will voice Jack Frosty, Jackman is Bunnymund (the Easter Bunny), Baldwin is North (Santa Claus) and Fisher plays »

Berlinale Talent Campus
Berlinale Talent Campus 2011 will organise a Panel with filmmakers Danis Tanović, Janus Metz and Samuel Maoz called “Filming War”. The three filmmakers will reflect on how war is depicted in films. High pressure and life-risking situations are inherent to filmmaking processes that depict war and crisis situations, whether they are fiction or documentary, as stated in a press release.
Danis Tanović received an Oscar in 2002 for No Man’s Land. Janus Metz won the 2010 Grand Prix at the International Critics’ Week of the Cannes Film Festival for his documentary Armadillo, and Samuel Maoz, Israeli director and script writer bagged a Golden Lion in Venice 2009 and recently won two European Film Awards for Lebanon.
Another Panel in the 9th edition of the Talent Campus will be “Play as Process: Worldbuilding and New Ways to Imagine” with director Shekhar Kapur, production designer, Alex McDowell, and others.
