DeForest Kelley, the crass southern Dr. Leonard H. McCoy from "Star Trek," may have passed away June 11, 1999, but he still isn't forgotten by his two costars that shared not only plenty of screentime with him, but their lives as well. William Shatner (Kirk, Tos) and Leonard Nimoy (Spock, Tos), both shared stories about their late comrade during the recent Slanted Fedora convention in Las Vegas. Patiently standing in the checkout line at Stop & Shop today (which was mobbed because tomorrow is the first night of Passover) I did what so many of us do – browsed the covers of the tabloids.
