She was nominated for a 2002 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actress in a Musical of 2001 for her performance in "Kiss Me, Kate", at the Victoria Palace in London, England.

Has been nominated for Broadway's Tony Award three times: as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) in 1994 for "Passion", a role she recreated in the television version of the same title, Passion (1996) (TV); and as Best Actress (Musical) in 1998 for "Ragtime" and in 2000 for a revival of Cole Porter's "Kiss Me, Kate".
