There are few movies that tap into what it is to be a child, but The Goonies captures it perfectly. It may be adventurous and far-fetched, but that is the adventures we had when we were young. The Goonies: 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition blu-ray celebrates the undying love that people have for the movie that never seems to age (even if the actors do).

With their homes in danger from the local rich developers a group of friends set off looking for pirate treasure. Little do they know that they will end up being pursued by the evil Fratelli gang intent on stealing it from them.

'Goonies 2' Isn't a Sequel and Doesn't Have a Script

Director Richard Donner literally 'broke' the internet back in April of last year when he told TMZ that The Goonies 2 was happening with the entire cast set to return. We haven't heard much since that time, aside from both Corey Feldman and Sean Astin saying they were game for the movie. A few days after Richard Donner broke the news, he claimed that Steven Spielberg had a story ready to go. Even if that was truly the case, Collider recently caught up with producer of both the original and the sequel, Frank Marshall, who confirms that there is no script written...Yet!
