Trivia

Has held 60 titles in his career.

Beat up WCW wrestler Van Hammer at Diamond Dallas Page's Christmas Party.

Fired from WCW once for not selling into Goldberg's Jackhammer.

He is the "Commissioner" of the WWF

Wrestled for nearly 20 years on the carnival circuit in his native England before joining American programming with WCW.

After returning to WCW for a time, Regal returned to the WWF as WILLIAM Regal. This time as a British snob that taught fans manners.

Notable Title Wins Include: WCW World Television title (4); MCW (Memphis) Southern Heavyweight title; WWE European title (4); WWE Intercontinental title; WWE Hardcore title (5); WWE World Tag Team titles w/Lance Storm (2)

Was miss-diagnosed in 2003 as suffering from a Stomach Virus picked up on a WWE Tour of India. In actual fact he had a heart defect which meant the right side of his heart was beating out of sequence with the left. This caused his body's systems to malfunction and allow large volumes of fluid to build in his body. Darrin underwent specialist treatment which involved stopping his heart or several moments and then re-starting it to bring both halves back into sequence. He then had to endure months of anti-blood clot treatments before he fully recovered. During his illness and recovery he lost 40lbs in weight and now reports to be in better physical condition then when he was starting his wrestling career. Made his return to the WWE in mid-2004 first as a manager to the 'Special' Eugene and then returning to the active wrestling roster.

His name change from Steven Regal to William Regal when he moved from WCW to the WWF (now WWE) was rumored to have been because the most popular WWF wrestler at the time was also named Steve (Austin).

In September 1996, he was invited to a Japan/US All-Star Tournament in Japan. Other participants in the tournament included Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Sting, Lex Luger and Buff Bagwell.

Former World Tag Team Champion.

Previous Managers: Sir William, Jeeves, Lady Ophelia.

Published author.

Remained an active wrestler while serving as Commissioner and General Manager.
