'Celebrity Apprentice': Lisa Lampanelli and Aubrey O'Day 'an odd couple but a good couple'

7 May 2012 11:20 AM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Comedian Lisa Lampanelli and "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice both got the axe on "The Celebrity Apprentice" Sunday (May 6), leaving Arsenio Hall, Clay Aiken and Lisa's right-hand girl, Aubrey O'Day, to battle it out for the final two spots. And Lisa, for one, says she was expecting to be fired.

"I'm not gonna lie to you, I saw it coming," Lisa tells Zap2it. "The relief I think showed in my face. ... I can go home, take off my Spanx and let it all hang out."

Known for abrasive comedic roasts of celebrities like Donald Trump, Lisa showed a surprisingly sensitive side on "Celebrity Apprentice." And it proved to be the nail in the coffin for Lisa, as past "Celebrity Apprentice" winner John Rich and runner-up Marlee Matlin suggested Lisa »

'Celebrity Apprentice' Fires Two, But Who Went Home?

7 May 2012 2:26 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

It was a double elimination on "The Celebrity Apprentice" (Sun., 9 p.m. Et on NBC) as the Final Five quickly became the Final Three. After flopping on the task for the week, Project Manager Teresa Guidice found her time on the show cut short.

The same thing happened during the presentation, when Aubrey O'Day had to step in and save the flailing Guidice. In fact, while she wasn't the Project Manager, O'Day basically took over most aspects of their Chi project, and apparently everyone thought it was either O'Day or Arsenio Hall running the task.

Once Guidice was out, the Final Four (O'Day, Hall, Lisa Lampanelli & Clay Aiken) came back in and were surprised to be brought face to face with last season's top two celebrities: Marlee Matlin and John Rich. They'll interview the remaining contestants and make their recommendations for the season's top two. After talking to all of them, »

‘Celebrity Apprentice’: A Shocking Double Firing Reveals Final Three

6 May 2012 10:21 PM, PDT | HollywoodLife | See recent HollywoodLife news »

With the season finale just two weeks away, Donald Trump fired two more celebrities! Did the right contestants survive? Arsenio Hall found himself in yet another boardroom battle on the May 6 episode of The Celebrity Apprentice, only this time it wasn't Aubrey O'Day on the receiving end of his fit -- it was Project Manager Teresa Giudice! He called her out for her poor leadership skills, while Teresa accused him of not bringing anything to the table. Ultimately, the celeb who ended up hearing Donald Trump's two favorite words was... Teresa! "It was a good experience," Teresa said. "I wanted to prove to people that there's more to me than just a housewife." Arsenio and Aubrey tried to play a little trick on Lisa Lampanelli, telling her Aubrey was the one who got canned, but the Queen of Mean -- and the one I had put my money on »

'Celebrity Apprentice': Teresa Giudice and Lisa Lampanelli are fired

6 May 2012 9:40 PM, PDT | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

With NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice" nearing its May 20 finale, taskmaster Donald Trump is ready to narrow the playing field to the final two contestants during Sunday's (May 6) episode. And sounding like the makings of a "MacGyver" episode, he only has a hair dryer, 2011 "Celebrity Apprentice" winner John Rich and runner-up Marlee Matlin to help him do it.

So who got their walking papers? "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Teresa Giudice got blown away as the losing project manager during the Chi hair dryer task, and surprisingly, winning project manager Lisa Lampanelli got the boot following the most important interviews of her life with John and Marlee. As for who that third firee is ... more will be revealed in the first 10 minutes of the May 13 episode.

For now, let's get to The Aubrey O'Day Show -- or rather the task to create an ad for the new Chi Touch Digital Touchscreen Hair Dryer. »

We’re getting down to the nitty-gritty, people. On Sunday's (May 6) episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice," two of the final five remaining celebs will be fired -- one following the ad campaign task for the "Chi Touch" Digital Touchscreen Hair Dryer and another after former winner John Rich and runner-up Marlee Matlin throw in their two cents.

And from the looks of things, it's every celeb for themselves. Aubrey O'Day casts herself in the hair commercial, Teresa Giudice gets "mean" and "nasty" (according to Donald Trump), and Arsenio Hall threatens to run over Teresa with the bus she's throwing him under.

Check out the preview for Sunday's episode below, as well as a clip of Trump continuing to defend fired contestant Dayana Mendoza and giving a hint of what's to come from Teresa.
