NBA player who is a forward for the Charlotte Hornets. He stands 2m 3 cm tall and He weighs 123 kgs. His alma mater is Springfield Gardens H.S. (NY) where he often returns to address students and athletic teams. He graduated from Tennessee Sate College in 1988. Mason was initially selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the third round (53rd pick overall) of the 1988 NBA Draft. Then he played for New Jersey Nets (89-90), Denver Nuggets (90-91) and New York Knicks (92-96) before coming to Charlotte in 1996. Recent stats include: ranked 16th in the NBA in Rebounds Per Game (8.5); ranked 4th in the NBA in Triple Doubles (3) and ranked 17th in the NBA in Minutes Per Game (37.9). Apart from basketball he is also a big baseball fan, with Yankees Craig Nettles and Chris Chambliss his favorites as a youth.
