Gilberto Martínez Solares (1906–1997)

Spent some time in Guadalajara and Penjamo during the Mexican revolution. Established two photographic studios in Mxico city, one in Hollywood and one in Paris. He returned to Mexico in 1934 and debuted as a film Photographer in "Adios Nicanor" (1935). In 1938 he made his debut as a director with "El Seor Alcalde". Has directed more than 140 films...
