Amanda Seyfried Lined Up To Play Linda Lovelace

2 November 2011 2:54 AM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

In Time star Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman’s new drama Lovelace, in which she would play adult film star Linda Lovelace.

Peter Sarsgaard is also set to join Seyfried in the film as her pornographer husband Chuck Traynor, having last been seen as the villain in Green Lantern (2011).

The script is based on Eric Danville’s book ‘The Complete Linda Lovelace’ and has been written by W. Merritt Johnson and Andy Bellin.

Lovelace is the infamous star of  porn flick Deep Throat (1972), which is one of the highest-grossing independent films of all time. She was just a Florida schoolgirl named Linda Boreman when she met Traynor, a would-be filmmaker who transformed her into a world-famous sex star.

After years of being victimized, Lovelace quit the business and divorced Traynor, who she accused of taking advantage of her naivete and coercing her into porn and prostitution. »

Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel Join Gerard Butler for Playing the Field

26 February 2011 1:07 AM, PST | Filmofilia | See recent Filmofilia news »

Gerard Butler is one lucky man! The actor is set to star in the upcoming soccer comedy Playing the Field, and we just learned that he’ll have quite interesting (and beautiful, by the way) company, because Uma Thurman and Jessica Biel have joined the project as well!

Gabriele Muccino is in charge for directing the comedy, and for the rest of details, check out the rest of this report.

So, we knew that Butler was set to star as “a former pro soccer player who finds himself dodging romantic advances from soccer moms after he agrees to coach his son’s youth team in an attempt to bond with the boy.”

And, now the ladies! Biel will play Butler’s ex-wife, while Thurman will play a fellow parent (you should read that as one of the soccer moms trying to seduce Butler).

As we said, Muccino will direct Playing The Field »
