The 'iZombie' finale staged a massacre that was like 'Walking Dead' — but fun

12 April 2016 7:00 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

iZombie wrapped up its second season tonight with back-to-back episodes. I already offered some overall thoughts on the season after last week's outing, so let's get specific on the finale, coming up just as soon as I'm a squad leader of my Call of Duty World League challenge team... We know from the Meat Cute massacre in the season 1 finale that this show can do impressive zombie action when it's of a mind to. But the carnage at the Max Rager party was much bigger and more elaborate than I'd have expected. If it wasn't as technically impressive as the Walking Dead version would have been, it was so much fun, and so character-focused — whether Clive declining to be scratched, Liv being forced to kill the Romero'ed Drake (who only wound up that way because he was the good guy Liv always believed him to be), or Major finally getting »

Extended Promo For iZombie’s Two-Hour Season Finale

6 April 2016 10:53 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

It looks as though every plot thread established on iZombie will explode in grand fashion when the two-hour season finale arrives next week. One view of the extended preview, which can be seen at the top of the page, will likely cause fans to countdown the days.

As we can see in the trailer, things aren’t going all too well for Major, who was arrested at the end of last night’s episode. Seeing as how he has reverted back to zombie form, going without adequate brain food could ultimately prove dangerous for both he and his fellow inmates. We all remember how rough it was for Liv when she found herself temporarily incarcerated earlier this season.

It also looks like we need to keep our eyes on those rowdy looking zombies in Max Rager’s secret basement. Will they break free and take a tour of the city? »

Sad clown alert: the popular Adult Swim comedy Childrens Hospital will be ending its seven season run next month. Creator and star Rob Corddry confirmed the news in an in-depth interview with Variety, saying he believes the currently-airing seventh season is “the ultimate season of Childrens Hospital.”

The actor admitted that if he and the team believed that they weren’t going out on top, they would have probably continued the show into another year. As it stands, he thinks they’ve made the right decision.

Here’s a brief clip from his thoughts on the move to end the show:

This show, season after season, has been an exercise in perfecting this world. We just finished editing this season a couple of weeks ago, and it really is the ultimate season of Childrens Hospital. That wasn’t the decision-maker but it certainly was a strong factor. It’s uncomfortable »
