This is The week to invest in a PS3 just so you can buy and download the fantastic Dead Nation exclusively on the Playstation Network. Trust us - it will be worth your while.
If you are not a gamer, this week's horror offerings are limited to some fangless bites with the latest installment of Twilight, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse (and all its related merchandise), staking (ha!) out a Saturday release all by itself. There's also Vampires Suck, but the release party flash mob in Hollywood on November 30th sounds more interesting than the film itself.
Dead Nation (Video Game)
Available exclusively on the Playstation Network for $14.99, Dead Nation (Review) is said to be home to the "smartest zombies" to ever be placed in a video game, meaning that these baddies will perform surprise attacks, drop down on you from buildings, and even grab at you through fences. On top »

While this week's episode of The Vampire Diaries focused on the return of Isobel and her agenda in Mystic Falls, it also featured a number of fun and/or emotional songs in the background.
But what else is new?
The show has compiled one of the best soundtracks on television, which only adds to its entertainment value each week. Read our detailed review of "Isobel" now, visit our The Vampire Diaries music section for a complete rundown of songs, and check out a sampling below:

Who’S It For? If you’re a twi-hard then you have already raced to the end of this review to see if I’m on the team that hates or loves this franchise. And the stereotype is that you are a teenage girl. Or wish you still were.
This is a film that hinges on two big events. Our first one is a paper cut. After Bella and Edward finally realize they can’t live without each other in the first film, »

Chicago – Only those completely unaware of any happenings in the world of film and DVD would still be unaware that “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” is hitting stores tomorrow, March 20th, 2010, with some outlets even holding parties tonight in advance of a midnight sale. Of course, we have our copy already and are here to break down what to expect when you finally get your hands on it.
Blu-Ray Rating: 3.0/5.0
As for the film itself, my opinion of it has not changed, so I will merely point you to my theatrical review of one of the biggest movie
events of 2009, which I concluded thusly:
“Even with all of the acting problems, most of the blame for what sinks “New Moon” has to be placed at the feet of screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg. She has taken a pulpy, timeless plot (the film references “Romeo & Juliet”) and played it deadly seriously and melodramatically »

The Twilight Saga: New Moon set the single-day box office record thanks to a huge midnight showing turnout and that same potential is forming around the film's home video release.
Summit Entertainment has chosen to release New Moon on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on March 20, a Saturday. The weekend release will allow for Friday evening release parties at retailers that should drum up huge initial sales.
The second film in the series that made stars out of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be relatively light on bonus with Blu-ray and DVD sharing the same content. Noticeably missing from Summit's announcement is any mention for a preview of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, but I would not rule out the possibility of one being added just before release as the same announcement concludes the bonus features listing with "and more!"
A two-disc special edition of the blockbuster ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ will be arriving on Saturday, March 20th. It will be available in both DVD/Blu-ray.
As of this moment, we only know of a few extras. There will be a six-part documentary that takes viewers behind the creation of New Moon, along with rehearsal footage from alternative-rock band Muse. Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math all have a music video (let’s hope it’s not just footage from the movie). The special features will also include twenty minutes of deleted scenes.
Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart Will Not be contributing a commentary track. Instead, the speaking during the movie will be done by director Chris Weitz and his editor, Peter Lambert. (Oh, a director and editor talking during a Twilight movie, sounds juicy!)
Pre-sale for both the Blu-ray and the DVD begins January 26th. »
