Rose Marie Documentary 'Wait for Your Laugh' Gets November Release Date (Exclusive)

Rose Marie is heading back to the big screen.

Vitagraph Films has acquired the North American theatrical rights to Wait for Your Laugh, the documentary celebrating the dynamic life and achieved career of the seasoned comedian, The Hollywood Reporter has learned exclusively. It will open in New York City on Nov. 3, San Francisco on Nov. 10 and Los Angeles on Nov. 17, followed by select cities nationwide. Shot on 35mm and 16mm film stock, the film will be projected where possible as a 35mm print.

Director Jason Wise also produced the film with Christina Wise in association with Forgotten Man Films. »

Legendary comedian Don Rickles died on Thursday at the age of 90, and many of those in Hollywood whom he inspired took to Twitter to honor his legacy.

Although he was widely known as an “insult” comic, stars, especially those in the comedy world, refuted that with stories about his kindness.

In a statement released on Thursday morning, Bob and Ginnie Newhart expressed their shock and condolences regarding Rickles’ death. “He was called ‘The Merchant of Venom,’ but in truth, he was one of the kindest, caring, and most sensitive human beings we have ever known,” the statement reads. “We are devastated and our world will never be the same. We were totally unprepared for this.”

Hollywood lost one of its greatest icons on Wednesday.

Mary Tyler Moore, who most notably starred in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show, died in Greenwich, Connecticut, of cardiopulmonary arrest after contracting pneumonia, Moore's rep confirms to Et. She was 80.

All over social media, messages of love and condolences have poured in honoring the beloved actress.
